Michael's Club - Suite guests

:DYou can get whatever the ship has on board in Michael's club, just ask and they will try and get it for you.:D

 

Sadly that depends on the waiter or waitress. We had a waitress who would only serve beverages from MC. Others would run all over the ship. One waiter would have probably gone onshore if you asked him. Guess who got a tip and who didn't! :D

The luggage tags we received on the ship for disembarkation were labeled Suite/Zenith.

Very simple, when embarking they designate exactly where your cabin is, when disembarking they only designate the area where you find your luggage.

Ours are labeled as Suite only for our upcoming cruise. The ones that are printed with the Xpress Pass are the same.

Those are the employees that make passengers loyal to Celebrity and keep them comming back along with a little extra at the end of the cruise.

 

Those others that don’t go the extra mile don’t get any reward and often turn passenger towards othe cruise line.

 

We have learned thru the years that casinos and cruise ships are all basically the same other than the dives bottom end. The big difference is the employees. We tend to patronize those places and ships where we have got to become “friends” with the employees. Have been to parties and dinners at BT’s houses n Vegas and had them visit us in Michigan. They may be employees and workers but they are still people like the rest of us. We don’t expect anyone to break any rules but those that go the extra mile within their limits usually do so because they enjoy your company and business, and others don’t belong in the service industry because of their attitude and personality.

I can assure you I know the difference between a cruise terminal and an airport. All bags are now on the single conveyor belt in the cruise terminal. This is a significant change from the old setup. It took probably a ten minute wait for our bags to come around with their Suite/Zenith tags proudly displayed and this was at about 9AM

Yes, the Port of Miami does use a conveyor belt for luggage. We sailed out of here once and we were in a suite. I remember our luggage being taken off the conveyor prior to us disembarking and sitting in a dedicated area for suites.

We sailed three TA's into Miami from 2014 - 2016 on Reflection and Silhouette and never saw a conveyor belt. We found our luggage just like yours, sitting in a separate area.

Maybe it depends on the pier being used, they might not have them at all the piers.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you. I travel so much, it's sometimes easy to forget which terminal has what and there is more than one terminal. Personally, I like to downplay the "Suite/Zenith" thing.

Don't apologize. I wasn't offended. I have no idea what terminal I was in and I am not even sure I like the conveyor belt better than the old way. We had no plane to catch, so we had no pressure to retrieve the bags. Next time it may be different.

the luggage valet program is excellent. If it is available it is worth while. No hassle looking for your luggage. Well worth the fee.

Does anyone know where I can find a list of the beers offered in Michael's Club...apparently they offer 65 different bottled brews. Besides beer, what else does Michael's offer a suite guest that makes it so special. We have booked a suite for the first time and I want to make the most of it.:D

 

 

 

Michael’s Club provides a relaxing ambiance and an alternative to the hustle and bustle of the martini bar. These were taken on Celebrity Silhouette in January 2016.

We had the opposite experience in Luminae. Perhaps because we sailed in August. Loads of kids making a racket- babies with free reign in the Luminae restaurant. I couldn't understand why the parents didn't remove the noisy crying yelling babies and young children from the dining room. Made it very stressful for the other diners. We ate in the specialty restaurants most days because of the chaos. About 500 kids on board on our sailing!

 

I just hate it when livestock and other farm animals are allowed on board! Surely, the young goats in Michael's Club should have been accompanied by their nannies -----or Billies!

When was the last time you saw Anca? She was supposed to have left Celebrity a year ago...Hope that is not true, she was the best (by far) concierge I ever saw!!

 

I thought that Anca left a couple of years ago. She was excellent.

I thought that Anca left a couple of years ago. She was excellent.

We were also impressed by Megan.

 

We were on Equinox with her in 2014. She is a consummate host. If you check 1:21 on one of Xs suite class videos you might spot her....

 

 

I had noticed on Arno's "who' on board" thread that in November she was listed as suite manager for Equinox although John Escobar is listed on the December update.
