Ncl luggage tags!?

Says to put address. Do you all put your address?

 

I have other more durable tags that have my info on it.

 

Was hoping the address isn't mandatory

Only your room number is mandatory. We use to stick a return address label there.

Last name and cabin number is all that is needed. Don't put any other information as it lets people know that you are away from home and sets you up to be the victim of a burglary.

My address is only inside my luggage, I would not advertise it on the outside.

Name, stateroom # and State/Zip Code info are all we put on those disposable tags - never the full address or city. For contacts, a filtered email address & Google Voice number.

 

For luggage tracking, we use a tracking tag with QR scannable code (from eBags) inside the carry-on (sometimes, gate-checked when flying) luggage.

Name and cabin number only. No reason anyone needs your home address.:cool: It shouldn't get lost between drop-off with porters and delivery to your cabin.

I often chuckle about folks worried about their address on the luggage tags. Maybe some of the porters scan tags and call their buddies back in Lizard Lick, NC to go rob your house.. who knows?

 

Really... you only need your room number.

 

We put our cell number on all tags so somebody can call us if they get lost.

We print up a few extra LUGGAGE TRACKING LABELS from our insurance policy.

One in an accessible outer pocket and one inside the bag. It has all the information needed if someone wants to return your lost luggage.

I agree with GaryCarla, we really do not worry about where we put out address or if we do. But, yes, all you really need is your cabin number and name. I do like the idea of using a cell phone number only. Of course how many only use cell phones now? We are about to get rid of our land line.

Many airlines in US require naz on tags.

So we have those but we don't use cruise tags until after flight.

Do you realize that putting the zip code is more specific than putting a city because it narrows your area down to a part of a city.
