Rare Scrapnana Posted January 3, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 3, 2018 I don't want to step on Peter's toes but I wanted everyone to know we have three dam ships in Port Everglades today. As it stands right now, all three are scheduled to leave at 4 pm (1600). Koningsdam is at pier 4 (port to), Veendam is at 29 (starboard to), and Prinsendam at 26 (port to). Sorry, I don't have the maps or itineraries with me but I am sure Peter will post them later.
Rare rafinmd Posted January 3, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 3, 2018 Veendam is now at the sea buoy. Kathi, I watched the sailaways yesterday. It looked like there was a little break from the rain but it sure was windy. Hope things are better over the next 3 days. No sure about the Veendam and Koningsdam but Prinsendam is embarking on the Grand South America. Nest time she does that cruise we'll be on board. Krazy Kruizers Posted January 3, 2018 #16 Share Posted January 3, 2018 You are welcome. We all have our moments when things keep us from keeping up with other things. Right now I have nothing to do but keep warm. Can't even get out to buy a new laptop -- way too cold.
Rare Vict0riann Posted January 3, 2018 #17 Share Posted January 3, 2018 Just looked out our window and I can see her. She looks huge! I think she must be hiding the little Prince, but there certainly is a bunch of ships in port. We thought our DD might not make it! One flight cancelled from Halifax, they eventually got to Toronto and had to overnight there, then a flight here was delayed, but they did finally make it. The joys of East Coast winter. Happily@Sea Posted January 3, 2018 #19 Share Posted January 3, 2018 I'll try to be here, if they leave on time I should be here. We leave St Thomas at 430ish and as long as we are close enough for internet, I should enjoy the parade.

Glad she made it! It is not the best looking day in Ft. Lauderdale. My first and my most recent cruise ships are bow-to-bow: Caribbean Princess and Koningsdam. DeeniEncinitas Posted January 3, 2018 #21 Share Posted January 3, 2018 Welcome back Peter!! Kathi took good care of the Sailaways, and I sure hope the weather gets a lot better for her and Roy on their wonderful cruise! Will be doing our Sailaway watching from sunny San Diego! Rare POA1 Posted January 3, 2018 #22 Share Posted January 3, 2018 My little weather app, which is usually correct for Fort Lauderdale, has it as sunny, but with a 20 mph NW wind for sail away.
Rare Scrapnana Posted January 3, 2018 Author #23 Share Posted January 3, 2018 The weather on the PTZtv webcams look worse than the view outside my window, although it is very breezy. The weather forecast is still saying that the rain is supposed to end around noon. Although my TA is offering shuttles to the Broward Mall, I did not see any stores on their website that I really needed to visit. When the rain stops I am planning on doing the walk I had scheduled for yesterday and eating a late lunch and will be back for sail-away. The TA's cocktail party starts at 6:15 so I should be able to see all of it unless Prinsendam leaves late (365 days, Roy!). Roy, is that east coast storm going to affect your departure from Maryland?
