Pineapple juice

Recommended Posts

Are you allowed to bring juice onboard? I drink pineapple juice everyday and notice they do not serve it? Would I be allowed to take it in my carryon?

Thank you.

If you're dining in the MDR ask your wait staff. You may just be surprised what they can find that isn't on the menu. Never hurts to ask.

Yes - you can bring it on in your carry-on. I always carry on a few bottles of cranberry juice myself.

As others mentioned, it’s avaible to purchase as well from the bars,

It is available at the bars and covered by the refreshment package if you have it.

Never thought to ask for it, but I wonder if I can get pineapple juice and rum in the DL. Anyone know?

maybe not the first night, unless the lounge happens to be right by a real bar, but after that, wouldn't be surprised if they do accommodate. I like it with pineapple vodka myself.

I've not seen it there, but if you asked, it would not surprise me if they had it for you the next night.

Never heard of anyone who drinks "pineapple juice" daily...

OP may just like the taste but pineapple juice & pineapples have many benefits:

Pineapple is the only major dietary source of bromelain. Bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme, which means it’s a mixture of enzymes that digest protein. Its anti-inflammatory properties include the reduction of swelling and bruising. Bromelain triggers the body’s production of substances that fight pain and reduce swelling, and it contains chemicals that prevent the blood from clotting. Bromelain has the potential to act as an effective cancer-fighting agent, it works in unison with chemotherapy to suppress the growth of cancer cells. It also contains beta carotene, which can protect agains prostate and possibly colon cancer.

Due to the anti-inflammatory properties of bromelain, some research suggests that pineapples could be useful in the treatment of osteoarthritis.

Bromelain also helps speed up digestion, reducing both bloating and constipation in the process. Bromelain has been used in the past to help treat symptoms of bowel conditions like ulcerative colitis, potentially reducing swelling and even ulcers.

Another big benefit to drinking pineapple juice is the manganese content. It’s an essential nutrient that fights aging and disease by protecting your cells from free radicals, which cause cellular damage.

The vitamin C in pineapple juice may also help to protect against heart disease and a higher intake of vitamin C also reduces the risk of cataracts.

We are new to RCCL, and I had read you couldn't bring any drinks in your carry on. What drinks do they allow? Can we bring water or soda?

Technically you can only bring two bottles of wine per stateroom. However, they usually allow water and soda.

I am a Diamond Member; receive comp drinks in Lounge as well as unlimited in the Casino. I will also pay for drinks as I go outside of those times if I desire them.

With that said yes, I carry on: usually a 6 or 12 pack of water, cranberry juice (for my champagne (which is allowed) to make my “Poinsettas” in my room, enjoy on balcony etc. and sometimes a few bottle of soda. Usually in a rolling duffle that doubles as my “carry off bag” final morning as it’s now empty,

Been doing it forever - never an issue once!!
