19 and 20 year olds

There was an informal meet up at night on the Gem. This was the first time my 19 and 20 year old didn’t have a club to go to. They went out of their way to be social (ds19 is very outgoing), and they ended up meeting some nice people their age to hang out with. Pool during the day, o’Sheehan’s every late night.

several years ago our 18 year old daughter was sailing with us

at the meet and greet the co ordinator [who was a schoolteacher] ordered the under 21 year olds to peel themselves away from their parents and go to corner of room to socialise

as a result she teamed up with similar young adults who agreed to meet up each night 10.30 before going into Bliss night club

once inside they met up with others and by end of cruise had made some good friends and had a group photo taken at end

otherwise can be a bit intimidating turning up by yourself

Aren't 18-20 year olds allowed to go to nightclub?? On Carnival they can...so I assume the same on other lines.

Yes, they can do anything any other adult can do except drink alcohol (unless they have signed waiver for beer/wine).

they can of course, but I am thinking the OP wants to know what else there is and maybe even how to pair up with kids their age. Let's face it, that between age is a hard one. Just like the age between about 10 and 12 is tough: too young for some activities, too old to hang out with with the younger crowd.

Is it true that "waivers signed by a parent" for 19/20 year olds for beer/wine aren't allowed on NCL cruises to Hawaii or Alaska?

This is correct.

Thanks, jdvmd, for replying!

My granddaughter (20) is taking a NCL cruise to Hawaii so needed to know.
