Are there a lot of oppurtunities to get your picture taken?

There are numerous opportunities or hazards for picture taking throughout the ship and on the piers and some excursions as well as Carnival owned ports, depending on your point of view.

After almost 50 cruises, I avoid the cameras as much as I can. I particularly dislike camera crews delaying walking off the ships in ports as they continuously halt exiting traffic on the gangways. Otherwise, I just wave, smile and say no thanks.

On Conquest class ships I take the 4th deck walk through from the aft MDR to the casino to avoid the congestion that develops from having picture taking stations every 50 ft on the 5th deck "avenue" or promenade.

So you can't see the actual pictures now just view on a computer?? How does that work?? We were on Splendor last month and could view pics. Has this just changed since introduction of the package??

Can anyone comment on viewing the pictures now please? I want to purchase the package but want to view the actual pictures first. Is that still available?

This person didn't read responses so I doubt that you get an answer from them.

This does not apply to all ships.

Ok thanks. Have booked the package for May on the Conquest. Would just like to "see" which pics to get first if I can. Hope that's the case. Just have the $99 one so get the 5 pics etc.

We just returned from the Sunshine and had the 199 (all prints) package. I haven't counted, but I think I have upwards of 150 prints. Sunshine still has the prints out for you to find daily. We had fun doing that every day.

We got all of our prints, elegant, casual, gangway, fun around the ship, etc. We just gave them to the Pixels desk and they put them into an envelope with our cabin number on it. We were the first sailing after they began selling the package and they said they were trying to find the best way to organize them.

We just want 1 or maybe 2 of our pictures. I'm thinking we can still buy just those two on the ship, correct?

Yes,the picture packages are in addition to their previous offerings not in place of. You will still be able to buy 1 or 2 pictures. Happy sailing

Thank you. Glad they are still on show. Dont know how they would organize everyone onboard viewing them by computer!!! Not sure if I should change to getting the $199 all prints package now lol.

We purchased the $250 prints and digital package and I will have to say that it was totally worth it. A lot of people on the 3/31 Magic sailing did the same, and I saw some folks with over 400 prints to take home. I will say that it was rough for the Magic photography staff to handle. Our order wasn't ready the night before disembarkment, even though we only used the photo package for formal nights. Half of our prints were missing and our flash/thumb drive was not in our envelope. At 7AM on disembarkment day, everything was corrected and we got out photos and flash/thumb drive. Make sure that you ask them to plug in your drive into an iPhone to verify that the digital copies are on the drive...one lady in line with us the night before had them check hers and she didn't have anything loaded on it. So make sure you check before you sign for it.

We spent $110 last year on a handful of photos...$250 this year and we got 65 and digital...not as good as the person that hit 400, but I'll still take it as a win.

It looks like by some of the responses that some of the Carnival ships are still putting the pictures out. This is what we wanted, but maybe because it was a larger ship, the Magic, they did away with the old way, and went with the computer. As I said earlier, I prefer "looking" at them in my hand instead of a computer, as the computer is not as good as seeing them in front of you.

So how did you actually get to see your pics then?? Does everyone line up to look at the computer? Thanks

You can see all your photos on your phone with the hub app. Or they have iPads set up to view them

Right. I was not planning on taking phone and if everyone has to line up to look at an iPad it will take forever....does it?

On the Magic, there are a bunch of iPad stations on Deck 4, and some on Deck 5. The giant screens can also be used to access your photos. Otherwise, use the HUB app. There was never any lines and always plenty of iPads available when I walked by.

Were all your pictures automatically added to your package or did you have to do tell them to put them on there?

They base it on cabin number. The photographers will ask for your cabin number before they start taking photos. That's how it worked on the Magic. I'm not certain if the same procedures are practiced on all the other ships.

I feel like we got all of our photos.

Yes, that is correct. The photographers are "supposed" to ask for your room number. I think one of the photographers did not ask for our number, but that was OK. The first thing the Pixel area does is take a picture of you, and that is to help bring up the pictures better. That is how you first get into the computer with your room number. If there is more than one adult in the room, you can bring up your pictures under your name, or the other people that are in your room too. Then you look (dining room, pool, Cozumel, etc.) in that section for your pictures. Even though they have taken your picture, and you go into the area (dining room, etc.), you then look (like we originally did on the walls for the paper pictures) through all these until you find your pictures. Sometimes they are easy to find, other times, well............ Then you can either delete them, or put them into favorites, as you "may/may not" want to purchase them. Even then, we found all our pictures were not coming up, but we eventually did get some printed. One of them Judy didn't want, but there was nothing we could do about it, once they print it, as it goes on your bill. As I said before, I like the old fashion way better.:)

I hate that 8 by 10 is the only size picture you can get on the newer ships. I wonder why that is? The older ships you can choose any size.

Not sure if anyone answered this, but ALL they are printing is the 8x10 paper size, if you look at the options, its always 8X10, 2 5X7, and so on. I don't remember seeing a 6x8 option this time

Others not in your stateroom are not included in the package... That's too bad, I wanted one of my father with my kids, but he is in a different stateroom. Also, my oldest son is in a different stateroom. I guess I'm stuck buying individual ones - which will probably mean I don't buy as many.

If one of the kids is staying in your room u can have ur father and kids photo taken and be part of the package deal

I was disappointed in that also. My son will be in a room with his cousins. I would hate to have pictures with just the 3 of us (myself, husband and daughter) and not him. Of course, I could buy extra pictures....

As long as u, ur husband and or your daughter r in the picture with ur son they r part of the package. no need to buy extra unless u just want photos of ur son and cousins alone.

We did not buy (no prepurchase before cruise) a photo package last week and had the choice to purchase (individually) 5x7 and wallets (had a 5x7 with 4 wallets package available). Could purchase all digital or a hard copy with digital upload. We purchased a couple of these 5X7 sheets with the wallets and digital uploads. Spent about $75 on pix.
