E- boarding pass?

I’ve never seen such a thing from Celebrity, and I was on both Reflection and Summit last year. Since we arrive at the port at least a day prior to embarkation from domestic ports, and at least two days prior for international ports, it would arrive too late anyway (because I’d have printed everything before leaving home).

This could be something Celebrity is testing on the Equinox. We have been on other Celebrity ships where there was some change being tested.

Most recent was different cabin door locks & seapass. The seapass doesn’t need to be inserted in the lock, just tapped on the lock & no issues with the seapass demagnetizing. The seapass would release the door lock even when in the gray rubber card holder or the previous faux leather version. Loved it, 5 weeks and never demagnetized my seapass - normally I demagnetize one every 5-6 days.

As a check-in agent, I have yet to be able to check in a passenger with a boarding pass on his/her phone, tablet, or any electronic device. Passengers should complete on line check in, and print his/her boarding pass at least three days prior to sail date, and present to check-in agent along with other documentation. It will be an easier check-in process both for the passenger and the check in agent.

I would love if I could board the ship with an e-pass/ticket on my phone...saves paper and since I always have my phone on me it's easy to access. We just returned from a trip from Canada to New Zealand..three flights each way and used e-tickets on my phone for all checkins. Super easy and never a problem with any of the agents we dealt with. I'm thinking airlines are more sophisticated with their ability to process electronic bar codes than port agents?
