Club Royale Casino Certificate Change

Recommended Posts

Ok thanks we always play a lot I know my wife normally has over 1000 points don’t know how many I normally get bc I play black jack the whole time

Make sure you see the casino host (day one when the casino opens) so you can get rated for your BJ play.

A Thousand points will get you free drinks in the casino.

Just found out.......... effective yesterday 4/15/18....... you no longer will receive double credits for a JS booking if you use one of the Casino Cruise Certificates. I was also informed you can no longer use multiple certificates for a single booking ( I have done this in the past)......seemingly there is no end to the trend...............

Other than using one certificate each from the husband’s and wife’s play for a sailing, I was never able to apply multiple certificates from one player at the same time for one sailing like you indicated.

I have not heard anything ‘yet’ that double points will not be applied when booking JS and above.

Recently told on Anthem last week it is now 2400 points before they give you a sticker for free drinks. This could be for ‘new players’ only. For many of us that have been in the program for many years and CR having a track record of our play, IMO, I don’t believe it would apply to us.

Best of luck to all in the casino :)

Until they roll out the new program (I'm not convinced it will ever be rolled out), getting a VIP sticker for free drinks in the casino is still based on activity on your last cruise. It doesn't matter if you've had a sticker for 20 cruises and have amassed 100,000 points.

I was just on b2b cruises on Radiance and was told by both the Casino Manager and Host that I could use both of my certificates together. Of course, Casino Royale says "no". Soooo frustrated!

What T&C says that? I do not see that on the one hubby got last month.

3. Qualified recipients within the same household may combine their offers on the same sail date. Same household recipients may not redeem towards a comp stateroom.

I had a $400 and free interior/$500 certificate from my last B2B and I couldn't use them either. They had to be used on 2 different cruises.

You also can't combine certificates with online or mail offers.

That's probably true now. With the new program you need about 2400 points to qualify for the Prime tier. If you didn't have the necessary points from the year before, you probably have to earn the minimum to get the free drinks. I wonder if they will track your points from each cruise until you reach 2400, or it has to be earned on one cruise.

Just guessing here (aren't we all? ;)) but I would say it would be in the year as it seems that is the way the new program goes. But we will see.

I was told when I booked my cruise for Sep 2018, that I would get double points (Grand Suite with $750 off cert) and that I should go on day 1 to see the host to get my VIP sticker. I specifically asked about both and he was very confident about the double points. He had to check my play for the sticker, but came back and said even if they change the format that I would still get the sticker on day 1.

There isn't a new program yet so we need to wait until one is introduced, if it really will be, before discussing qualifying points

Me too! It will mess up my schedule to turn Pin.

Wish I would have booked 2 more.

I may be adding a 3 night and downgrading the 2 junior suites cruises (saving money too) just to make up the 6 points I would lose ... just to stay on my June 29 “schedule”

Thanks mine does say that. I thought they were referring to the T&Cs saying the same person could use multiple certs.

My husband just called casino Royale about the double points. No double points on all sailing effective April 15 as reported here. It doesn’t matter that we booked before the effective date.

Ouch. Glad we got off Harmony on the 14th. It was a Casino discounted GS.

Let me add that my husband just asked about junior suites. I don’t know if the new policy applies to higher level suites. It was a crown and Anchor decision.

Why would there be a difference between say JS and GS/OS? We have had Casino discounted GS many times. Just got off one on the 14th, Harmony.

We have 3 RS and an OS all booked prior to the 15th, using certificates or deep casino rates and plenty of the YO Coded discounts.

So hoping this is all wishy washy.

On the 1st of 4 cruises in June, if double points are not posted to our accounts. Royal can kiss my sweet behind on the other 3 fully paid cruises and we will cancel all 3 without batting an eyelid.

MSC Yacht club can have our money instead.

This New Program is a WWCF!

The optimist in me thinks the left doesn't know what the right is doing at CR.

The pessimist in me also thinks the same thing;)

Couldn't roll out a carpet, let alone a CASINO program

That's crazy that you could pay $5,000 for a JS, and you would lose your double points for $100 certificate. I can understand if it is a free cruise certificate, that you wouldn't get the points, but not for using a certificate that has a value of a few hundred dollars or less.

Totally agree with you Gayle. It's Bonkers!

Now we no longer have a CR VIP membership number and all is linked via our C&A accounts the future doesn't look Orange:o

My husband got so excited about the double points issue that he called Crown and Anchor later tonight. The representative he talked to said we would get double points. She said c&a would know because they award the points. Her supervisor is contacting a Casino Royale supervisor to find out what’s going on.

I have no clue where the truth lies. I’m still concerned. I guess I’ll find out soon enough as we are leaving on Saturday.
