lakemurraykid Posted April 29, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 29, 2018 First of all I am not trying to start anything with my post...no arguments please. My husband and I will be sailing on the Ruby soon and I'd like to know where the outdoor smoking area is. I had lung surgery almost three months ago and I want to stay away from the smoke. I'd like to know which deck and whether it is aft or not. Thanks bunches...
cruiseintoheaven Posted April 29, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 29, 2018 I’m guessing that people that do smoke will have a more complete answer to your question as that is something they would be more in tune with. Having said that - I believe the aft terrace pool is a smoking allowed area. I say this because we were on the Ruby last month on the Rivera deck and would often go out on deck there - I kind of recall seeing ashtrays and a few folks smoking. nukesubsailor Posted April 29, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 29, 2018 Deck 16, port side, next to the Tradewinds bar was an outdoor smoking area two years ago.
Rare CineGraphic Posted April 29, 2018 #6 Share Posted April 29, 2018 Aft promenade deck, starboard is a smoking area as well. Also the port side of the casino. Sent from my iPhone while I probably should be working.
tawlaw1526 Posted April 29, 2018 #7 Share Posted April 29, 2018 Avoid the casino. I am a non-smoker and find the casino to be very smoky most nights. They do have 1 or 2 smoke free nights in the casino each cruise and the Patter will let you know when it is a smoke free evening in the casino. voljeep Posted April 29, 2018 #8 Share Posted April 29, 2018 agreed, but even on 'non-smoking' - most likely formal night(s) - the casino still reeks.

A section of tables port side next to the Tradewinds Bar, Deck 16 mid ship Either a section port side on the Horizon Terrace, deck 15 aft, where there are some tables, or just above that area on deck 16 outside of SHARE. Indoors: Section of the Casino, some nights there is no smoking, but the smoke smell is still around. Speakeasy cigar lounge. This is the only place on the ship where you can smoke cigars and pipes. A section of Skywalker's may also allow smoking.
