Rare teacherman Posted May 13, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2018 We will be doing a family cruise on Adventure to celebrate DW's birthday. Thinking of doing a dinner in Giovanni's. We will be using our BOGO Diamond perks for a couple of us. What is the charge for children (ages 8 and 10)? We are okay with Giovanni's but have been unhappy with Chops on last few cruises. It will be the first cruise for most of the family.

cb at sea Posted May 13, 2018 #3 Share Posted May 13, 2018 If the child eats off the children's menu, there should be no charge. If they eat from the regular menu, then they will be charged. I would be surprised if they charged for a 2 year old.
spookwife Posted May 13, 2018 #4 Share Posted May 13, 2018 eating off the regular menu: same price as the adults eating off the specialty venue's kid's menu: I have seen anything from half the adult price to $10-12. eating off the MDR kid's menu: should be zero charge. YMMV. every ship and indeed every venue runs things their own way it seems. be advised that if you pre book before barding you are charged full adult price for everyone. you will need to get the adjustment once on board. nelblu Posted May 13, 2018 #5 Share Posted May 13, 2018 We have eaten at Giovanni's & Chops on both Oasis & Allure, and were charged $10 per child over 5 and they allowed us to order from the adults menu. On our Easter (Allure) cruise the children were not charged for the neighborhood lunch promo at Giovanni's. Took good care of the waiter.

I would be surprised if they charged for a 2 year old. Don’t know why I bother but the deal is no charge for under 5 eating off the MDR kids’ menu (no one mentioned a 2 year old). If the child is 12 or under the charge was $10, although there have been reports of the price now being 1/2 the adult fee.
