pingpong1 Posted July 7, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 7, 2018 I'll ask this question in a new thread. On another Regent thread it was mentioned by one poster that Navigator would be going into dry dock sometime in 2019. I have searched almost everywhere for additional info on this with no success. Would anyone have more details about this, as to the probable date for that dry dock/refurbishment period? Thanks much.
mrlevin Posted July 7, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 7, 2018 There is a 19 day gap starting May 30th; could be a dry dock and a charter. Marc
pingpong1 Posted July 7, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted July 7, 2018 Thanks Marq - I'm curious, because I have an Oct 2019 cruise booked. It would be nice to sail on Navigator shortly after a "refurb". Would the next one normally be due in 2019 (assuming there's some type of regularity to this)? Wasn't the last one completed in 2016? Thanks. Rare wishIweretravelling Posted July 8, 2018 #4 Share Posted July 8, 2018 Yes, they go in once every three years. Not for anything extensive like in 2016, but for freshening.
Pcardad Posted June 10, 2019 #5 Share Posted June 10, 2019 Currently in drydock - confirmed by Regent.
UUNetBill Posted June 10, 2019 #6 Share Posted June 10, 2019 MarineTraffic.com shows her as being in Brest right now. Rssc.com shows her next cruise as starting June 18 in London.
Kwaj girl Posted June 10, 2019 #7 Share Posted June 10, 2019 Many posts on FB from crew members currently working the dry dock for this ship. Seems like they are having some fun as the work is different from their normal duties when the ship is sailing with passengers.

An interesting tidbit ...... when Frank Del Rio was CEO of Regent (before he was CEO of Regent, Oceania and NCL), he and his wife were part of several dry docks. They stayed on the ship and experienced the lack of electricity and the other hardships of going through a dry dock. This is one of many things that I respect about him....... definitely not afraid to get his hands dirty.
Ep010835 Posted June 21, 2019 #9 Share Posted June 21, 2019 So what’s being done during the dry dock?
Ladys Mom Posted June 21, 2019 #10 Share Posted June 21, 2019 If you look at the post from Jason O'Keefe, he describes what was done in the dry dock.
