Where to eat on embarkation?

Recommended Posts

On my last cruise with Celebrity we were lucky to go Concierge class and were invited for Concierge lunch in the dining room after embarking.

This time we are not that special, we are mere steerage :'), just wondering which eating areas will be serving lunch away from the Windjammer to avoid the crowds? Thank you

Not sure if this will help? We are a family of 5 adults on embarkation day we normally sit in Schooners. 2-3, of us, sit with the carry-on bags and the rest gets food and drinks for all of us from the Promenade. We enjoy this as there is no hauling the carry-ons around and no playing hunt the table in the Windjammer.

The best place for lunch is Park Café on deck 8.

Excellent salads - decent roast beef sandwiches - chips & desserts.

Beautiful outdoor setting looking up to an open sky with real trees and flowers.

Of course if you have access to Coastal Kitchen - that's a no brainer.

I 2nd this, it has become our tradition, 1st stop park Cafe for Roast Beef Sandwiches!

We've done several things--Park Café is lovely for salads, soup, and sandwiches; Sorrentos if pizza will satisfy; or specialty dining, especially Giovanni's Table(outside dining) it's great to people watch as newbies get their first view of Central Park.

Our biggest favorite is still Windjammer, as DH loves the choices, and as we are usually on the ship early, we get there before the crowds. It's all good and the best part is that wherever you choose to have your first onboard meal--now the vacation has started!
