Milestone cruises

I am guessing that the 100 is cruise credits. I thought the milestones were based on days

That's right Paul. 500 or 750 or 1000 days. I would touch base with the CC Host if I was on a cruise when I was reaching one of the milestones just to make sure our numbers matched or didn't get overlooked:(.

I'll touch base on the next cruise but at the rate we're approaching our Milestone trip, the rules will probably be changed by then anyway. ;)

Our next cruise will be number 50 for us. We were way short of 50 when they switched to days, but well beyond 500 days. So did not get the 50 cruise credit or 500 days milestone. I figure I will say something to the rep. I don't expect anything, but it can't hurt.

On one of our cruises early last year the CC host announced at the CC party that Milestone recognition had changed from cruises to days and the milestones are every 250 days.

On another cruise shortly after that our Milestone came due mid-way in the last of b2b2b cruises and it was made effective at the beginning of that last cruise. The CC host called her supervisor for approval. She said the hosts do not make the decision about it; it all has to go through the home office.

We got all the goodies which included flowers, strawberries, champagne, certificate, recognition at the party and breakfast in Sabatini’s.

It seems that the only information about milestone cruise is passed down by word of mouth.

Maybe it does pay to go to CC meeting after all.

When we hit 750 in June, it was obvious that the Captain's Circle rep was not used to milestones. We were the second most traveled, so they escorted us to the stage and gave us the runner up champagne. Then they escorted us back to our seats. Then they escorted us up front again and gave us the Milestone champagne.

Friends of mine reached 500 days on a So. Amer. cruise in March. I sat with them in front at the CC party, the closest I'll ever get! :D Congratulations to all of you reaching those milestones.

I started cruising in 1982, some 30+ cruises later, half have been with Princess. I won't reach 500 days.

Our champagne was delivered to our cabin at the same time with the flowers and strawberries as well as the certificate.

Subsequently, we've seen 3 couples receive milestone recognition at a CC party, but they are only introduced and not given anything at the party.

There probably have been more recognitions, but we only attend the CC party if we are one of the top 3 MTGs.

I believe the only consistency with the CC program is it's inconsistency.

BTW, we are on the CB right now and it's the last day of the cruise. The last Patter came out last night and the picture of the #1 MTG was not in it. The design of the Patter was changed this cruise because of the ***** so don't know if this change will be just on this ship or across the fleet.

We had trips like that (Royal Princess) when the most traveled guests didn't want their picture displayed in the patter.

Clarification: on the Caribbean Princess the picture of the #1 MTG has historically been on the front page of last Patter of the cruise.

But the publication date is irrelevant.

This cruise there was no picture or mention of the MTG in any Patter regardless of the day it went out.

Why does the ***** require a change to the printed Patter

It is part of the new look look for ***** according to one of the officers. New Patter look, updated menus, new ***** kiosks, fast internet, etc. The officers and crew all seem to be pleased with the ***** and it’s a point of pride.

BTW apparently not putting the #1 MTG’s picture in the Patter was an error or a change that wasn’t communicated. There are so many changes happening now that not every one knows what’s going on. Even more than usual!!!

We reach our 500 days on our next cruise on September 8th. We are on the Regal and we will have the same cc hostess that we had on the Regal this past March. She knew in March that our upcoming cruise would be a milestone and she told us to come see her once we got on the ship. So I am expecting it on this cruise when we make our 500th day. I have a question - what do you get for the 500 day milestone? I think the people who posted about their perks were all for their 750 days. It will take us a little while to get to that but we will have fun trying.

500 days gets most of the same perks as 750. The one big difference is no breakfast in Sabatini's for 500 days.

You do get a nice bottle of champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, a certificate and recognition at the Captain's Circle reception.
