h20cruzer Posted September 2, 2018 #327 Share Posted September 2, 2018 Very surprised about your comments on the mens bathroom. The women's bathroom has always been spotless and with plenty of towels, and almost always an attendant in there in the evenings. I hope they have resolved the issues. Norma PS Sorry to hear its the last day, this cruise has gone by so fast, I have enjoyed every minute, counting the days till my cruise on the Eclipse starting November 10, 2018. kellienjim Posted September 2, 2018 #328 Share Posted September 2, 2018 @Paul, have really enjoyed following your posts, you are a wealth of information. My husband and I will be on the October 15th ABC island sailing (just booked 2 weeks ago) and your updates have excited us for our voyage. Quick question, do you by any chance have any pictures of the craft beer list in the Gastropub? While we both love wine, he’s more likely to grab o beer before dinner and then we head to the martini bar. Not sure if I missed it, but did you eat any any of the specialty restaurants (other than the favorite, Murano)? We are huge fans of Murano, but have found Tuscan to be hit or miss. Also a bit disappointed that Silk Harvest hasn’t yet been updated to Qsine, as the presentation and variety is always fun, especially if dining with a group. Again, many thanks for taking us all along on this great trip! Sent from my iPhone using Forums

chicagopaul Posted September 2, 2018 Author #332 Share Posted September 2, 2018 Comments on new sun loungers? Are they better? Same? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I think they definitely look better. Nice clean modern look. Functionality and comfort wise I’d say they are the same. Didn’t use them much but when I did I didn’t notice any problems with them. I thought I had a photo but I guess not. I’ll take one and upload. I’ll post it in this message provided the internet gods allow it to go through. We’ve eaten in Murano, Sushi on 5, and Gastro this trip. We had planned to eat at Tuscan and Silk but it just didn’t pan out. We did talk to a couple we’ve cruised with before who ate in Tuscan and was very happy with it. I know from the staff they’ve been pretty busy in Tuscan so I assume they’re doing something write. I agree Tuscan can be hit or miss. We were thrilled with the quality of Tuscan on our Reflection TA this April. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Rare Essiesmom Posted September 3, 2018 #341 Share Posted September 3, 2018 I am on Equinox now, and I have never seen a problem in the women's restrooms, When I go in there is usually someone there rolling towels, cleaning the stalls, etc. EM
BosoxI Posted September 3, 2018 #342 Share Posted September 3, 2018 You can still wash your hands though, just air dry them if there are no towels. I wash my hands and make my husband do it. I would say there has only been around 3 days I’ve had a towel. Every other time they’ve been out. Hopefully it’s just a management / supply issue and not a weeding out of the hand towels in replacement of paper towels. chicagopaul Posted September 3, 2018 Author #347 Share Posted September 3, 2018 Good Evening Everyone! So I’ve crawled into bed and thought I’d update you all on our last day on the Equinox since I still have some energy from my double espresso at dinner. We had our regular morning drinks with Taz at the Sunset Bar. We didn’t want to leave the bar this morning as leaving means you’re just one step closer to home. So we had one extra drink. After sunset we decided to have lunch at Sushi on 5. We meant for it to be light but we of course over ordered. We started with the lobster wontons and chicken gyoza. Then we had three rolls and some sashimi. All was very good. My favorite of what we had would be the chicken gyoza (basically chicken potstickers) and the green roof tuna. Here are some photos. Lobster wontons pictured above Above is the green roof tuna. I will post more when I have better internet sitting at the airport tomorrow. Dinner tonight was Murano. We had the cheese plate to start, lobster bisque, and steak Diane. It was phenomenal as usual. One of our regular waiters at Murano, Wayman, and our sommelier named Star. We had a wonderful evening in Murano which I’ll explain more later. After we went to Martini Bar and had a drink and said our goodbyes. I was amazed how busy the bars still were. They were packed. The silent disco in the atrium that started at 9:30 was still going strong at 11:30. And the casino at 11:30 was packed. Literally every single table that was open was full (with the exception of $50min blackjack) and I’d say all tables were open but two. It was a great way to end the cruise. Tomorrow I will update you with many more photos and a full review as well as our review of our celebrity transfer, flight, etc. I’ll go over a few items I didn’t cover on the day to day and will still be here to answer any questions at all that you have! chicagopaul Posted September 3, 2018 Author #348 Share Posted September 3, 2018 Good Morning from Miami. It is raining pretty steady here unfortunately. We are waiting in the comfy chairs by Martini Bar. We booked the transfer to MIA through Celebrity. Meeting time is 9:20 (it is 8:20 now) so we have plenty of time. Our flight does not board until 4:00pm so we have lots of time to kill at the airport. We will just hang out in the Amex lounge and have some food and drinks and catch up on the blog. I feel summer equinox cruises when school is on it’s just crazy busy at all bars, all sun beds... looking forward to in about 40 days and we’ve got our own abc equinox cruise to enjoy.... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk It didn’t feel as crowded as I thought it could have for a summer cruise. There were some kids but not a lot by any means. Loungers always did seem full in the sun but we always saw some in the shade available. The bars were crowded each night but after a little bit of waiting we were able to grab seats right at the bar. Pool bar always looked busy but not multiple people deep waiting to order drinks if that is what you mean. Sunset bar had a decent crowd but I’ve definitely seen it more crowded before. The specialty restaurants were definitely the most crowded I’ve seen in a long while. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
