MsOne Posted August 27, 2018 #26 Share Posted August 27, 2018 We are going on Adventure of the Seas in October. I went online today and saw that a balcony guarantee was available. We currently had an inside cabin. When I called the total price to switch was $7.00!!! I hope I did alright. I have never done a guarantee before. We always picked our own cabin. I just hope I don't get a connecting room. I read here that if that happens I may be able to call and change it if they still have cabins in the same category. Hoping that's true. I'm guessing the price of all the cabins went down, so how much did the inside cabins go down?
Rare ReneeFLL Posted August 27, 2018 #27 Share Posted August 27, 2018 ...are my husband and I the only people who travel with a white noise machine?! If we’re in a situation like this, we place it by the adjoining room and voila! Problem solved. Drowns out everything. To the OP: great deal! If you’re worried about noise from an adjoining cabin, bring a white noise machine! Ear plugs work great also.
molly361 Posted August 27, 2018 #28 Share Posted August 27, 2018 Just back from the EN- had a balcony guarantee and got assigned a connecting one. Luckily we heard nothing from the neighbors.

dadofjessie Posted August 27, 2018 #30 Share Posted August 27, 2018 I agree. I avoid connecting cabins at all costs. Why avoid a connecting cabin at all costs?
Rare Itchy&Scratchy Posted August 27, 2018 #31 Share Posted August 27, 2018 For $7 ????? Who cares if it is a connecting cabin, noisy cabin, wrong deck cabin, close to the elevator cabin, next door to a drunk and disorderly cabin??????? I'll take it !!!!! as a person who once was in a horribly noisy cabin behind some utility hallways - I mind. The crew started working at 4 am every morning and I couldn't sleep. And YES, I use ear plugs every night - I could still hear everything. Then another time we did have a super drunk couple who fought very loudly and obscenely all night long. Yes, I heard them through my super duper industrial strength ear plugs. Thankfully, our kid will sleep through anything, so he was spared. I don't care if it's connecting or the wrong deck cabin. But I wouldn't want to be under the pool or buffet area either.
Clarea Posted August 27, 2018 #32 Share Posted August 27, 2018 Why avoid a connecting cabin at all costs? Potential noise through the connecting door.
puppymama1 Posted August 27, 2018 #33 Share Posted August 27, 2018 How can you tell if your cabin is a connecting one? Is it coded somehow on the deck plan? I want to make sure the one I picked for our Baltic cruise next year isn't connecting... Thanks!
Fatcat604 Posted August 27, 2018 #34 Share Posted August 27, 2018 Sorry I'm curious, I have never sail with Royal Caribbean before. Can you do price adjustment when the price goes down for same category state room? What I did with carnival is called my PVP, he will change it for me right away. Thank you. lostfancruiser Posted August 28, 2018 Author #38 Share Posted August 28, 2018 I checked my cruise planner today and was surprised to see a cabin assignment-cabin # 8666. I was even more surprised to see that they have given us a spacious ocean view balcony! Great location and not a connecting room. I was hesitant to do the guarantee balcony but it looks like I lucked out!

LuCruise Posted August 31, 2018 #40 Share Posted August 31, 2018 Great news. We just stayed in same stateroom category. Quite spacious for cruise room. We loved it. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
