Transportation from JW Marriott Marquis to Port of Miami?

Hi, Cruisers!

 

 

My husband and I will be sailing for the first time on NCL Getaway out of Miami. We already booked the JW Marriott Marquis the night before our cruise. We are wondering:

 

 

How do we get to the port from there?

 

 

A hotel staff member told me there were no shuttles to the port, and I was just curious what others do/have done.

 

 

We are thinking about using a pick up service from the airport to the hotel, and we are thinking about doing that to the port as well. Any reputable companies we should book with?

The good news is you are only a few minutes from the port by car.

 

My preference would be to use Uber but if you don't want to do that a taxi would work and will be readily available.

Taxi will be about $12-13+tip and the UberX should be under $10 plus tip. Your call. ;)

 

PS You'll also need to look for an Uber or taxi to get from MIA to the hotel - no airport shuttle.

Uber or taxi. Uber is how I get there and I can see at least 3 taxis sitting there at this very moment sitting at your hotel waiting for fares out of my window.

We always use taxis from the airport to our hotel and the following day from hotel to POM. Never had a problem getting one.

I used Uber and Lyft when I stayed there (it's magnificent by the way).
