coolcagolfer Posted October 17, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 17, 2018 Yesterday we had to skip Bar Harbor. Can we see fall foliage in St John or Halifax? If so,how do we get there?
Underwatr Posted October 17, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 17, 2018 It's getting a little late for foliage as you go further north. I don't recall hardwoods on the drive between Halifax and Peggys Cove, just a lot of softwoods like pine (but we were there in September so foliage wouldn't have stood out). Rare mom says Posted October 17, 2018 #6 Share Posted October 17, 2018 The forests along the coasts tend to be mainly evergreen - scrub fir and spruce. In the cities you'll see more deciduous trees. According to the webcam I just looked at in Halifax, there is still some colour in the trees. But all it will take is a good windy day and they'll likely be gone.
