Fall foliage Bar Harbor skipped

It's getting a little late for foliage as you go further north. I don't recall hardwoods on the drive between Halifax and Peggys Cove, just a lot of softwoods like pine (but we were there in September so foliage wouldn't have stood out).

The forests along  the coasts tend to be mainly evergreen - scrub fir and spruce. In the cities you'll see more deciduous trees. According to the webcam I just looked at in Halifax, there is still some colour in the trees. But all it will take is a good windy day and they'll likely be gone.
