I was commenting @ "Cruise Capital of the World" in general. As for Tampa, the last couple of weeks is just the last couple of weeks. I look at Tampa's offerings occasionally just because I love sailing out of there. Used to anyway.

I know, it is January 30.  I tried to book it as soon as I got the offer on Tuesday, and it didn’t even show up on the regular website.  I booked something else instead, and when it reappeared on the website yesterday, I called to see if I could change my booking to the Brilliance.  After 55 minutes on the phone, I found out that it was available for guarantee only and the casino cannot book guarantees. So the Freedom it is, and I will probably have to pay for the Tampa cruises.

Gary’s much older sister has rented a place on the beach in Bradenton for six weeks this winter. Originally, she was going to have so many visitors that we wouldn’t have to be here for her 100% of the time.  Several have dropped out, leaving us responsible and landlocked.  That date was one that we could (almost) count on to sneak away for a few days.  I haven’t missed a January/February cruise (other than 2021) in twelve years and am feeling a bit resentful.

I think my comment may have been in the context of normal being several pages - the last edition of the flier before the COVID shutdown (3/17/2020) was 7 pages long.

Though that was start of CV scare Travel slowdown with Govt Shutdowns starting in days and Princess quarantine CV Ship weeks earlier. At that time for next yr I was booking SOLO Cruises for less then $50-60 a day in Balcony Cabins that were not on GGG list. None of which sailed

Yeah those Jewel Fall Cruises have been Cheap for Months now. Been watching myself, not changed much. Still a Deal though for those not aware
