Navigator of the Seas *LIVE* 11/23/2018 - 12/2/2018

Recommended Posts

Though food is still a slight issue for me, I had enough energy to do the Helmet Dive at De Palm Island.  It is an amazing experience.  I will post pictures later as its on a memory stick.  I have to get on the PC to post.  We also ended up doing a banana boat ride.  Its pretty much a banana boat being dragged by a motorboat.  It was a blast.  Unfortunately, i didnt get that many photos of the island.

That’s the banana boat btw.

Now we’re back in the room deciding what to do next.  We might go find a short tour pr something.

Tonight's MDR menu, which we thought was very uninspiring.

We both had the crab cake for starters and the standard New York strip loin and enjoyed them.

For dessert Fernando had the cheesecake and I had the banana split off the kids' menu. No dessert pics as I forgot until we had half demolished them.

And weren't they supposed to be not using plastic straws any more?

We missed the show again tonight because it was pre-dinner again. It was one of the production shows.

I remembered to take pics of the weight training side of the gym.

Tip: this ship has locker rooms with showers (unless they take them away during the dry dock in January), so if you have 3 or 4 in your room you can alleviate pressure on the bathroom by showering in the locker room.

We are still in Aruba but all the onboard shops and the casino are open.

Tonight is the love and marriage show so we will be going to see that.

Tomorrow in Curacao, we have a beach break excursion booked.

I ate my first full meal today.  But since the maitre d was concerned about my food poisoning, he had me checked out by medical.

Yup, I’m QUARATINED!!!  I cannot leave the room for 24 hours, which means I will be missing Curacao and quite possibly chops.  Though we may reschedule, or i may get free as the 24 hour period ends at 8:15 tomorrow.

This will make for a boring live report.   Netflix and Hulu work surprisingly well.

Thanks Fiona for keeping the slack.

We had a gorgeous morning at Eagle Beach. Back on board for lunch now before hitting the shops.

WJ is quiet at the moment. Lots of folk must still be off the ship.

Where did you get dropped off at Eagle Beach.  Were you able to find and rent chairs?  We are on the 12/21 sailing and were planning on going to Eagle Beach.  Thanks.

The taxi dropped us at a beach bar called coco loco. There were vendors right there with chairs and sun shades. When we arrived at 10.30 am there were still plenty chairs but all the sunshades were taken.

I don't know how much they were because we didn't rent any.

Thanks to both of you for all of the information on this cruise.  I'm really enjoying all the pictures and post of what one could expect on this cruise. Sorry to hear Rogue was sick and quarantined. Do either of you guys have the Day 5 Compass?  Looking forward to what's available each day.

Although I get “room service” complimentary, I get the “special menu”.  This ended up being dinner.  I originally ordered pasta bolognais, apparently they didn’t let me have it becuae it had cream in it.  so i asked what I could have, and they rattled a bunch of stuff thats not even on the menu.  This was the result.B44E7D08-81F8-416E-B990-E3667E301683.thumb.jpeg.387d28f3ed7f9af7917edf083d639378.jpeg

Unfortunately, contrary to what the other nurse said, it my quarantine ends 24 hours after my visit, not last symptom as i was led to believe.  So, Chops is again rescheduled.

Best cruise ever....

Today was Curaçao and the weather decided to throw a tantrum. It poured down just minutes before we were due to leave for our Blue Bay Beach Break excursion, causing early morning pool-goers to flee for shelter.
