They need to add bidding on an interior last-minute cabin for those who aren't already on the sailing. 🙂

Never hurts to have an extra INT on hand to cover those onboard situations.  Cabin floods, husband cheats on wife, etc.

Seems to be $600 for Oasis - this will likely change once Plusgrade refines its numbers.

We are on Oasis next month in a balcony   and got  an offer   from  $500 pp for a GS

We are on  Symphony  in a CP balcony in March and got an  offer from $800 PP for the GS

remember these upgrades do NOT provide extra C&A points.

If Royal was smart with RoyalUp in place, they would modify the last minute cancelation penalties and offer an FCC for last minute cancellations.  $50 for OV, $100 for a balcony, $150 for a JS, $200 for a GS, etc.

I did a no-show on Majesty when my daughter graduated AF BMT.  It all happened last minute and I was in 100% penalty.  I didn't notify Royal, I simply did a no show.  Maybe a last minute hurricane or mechanical issue would impact my sailing and I'd get a refund.  Why notify and cancel?  I'd get zero.   I got taxes back even as a no-show so there is no reward to notify Royal if you need to cancel within the 100% penalty period.

My cabin likely sailed empty.

Now with RoyalUP they should introduce a last minute FCC for close in cancellations.  I'd take that and the RoyalUP line of succession can kick in.  The $200 FCC would be offset by all the RoyalUp line of succession revenue upgrades.

I too received the email for a cruise that is listed as sold out for cabins that accommodate 3 passengers  Navigator 3/15/19 9 night sailing. We are a party of 3 the email stated GS $500pp  Jr Suite $250pp minimum. I have 3 other bookings currently May 2019 October 2019 and March 2020 nothing received for any of those.  Final payment for the March sailing is next week so maybe there will be openings at that point?

Bingo !

The Twangbot strikes again !

Interesting word, Bingo.

Because that's what they used to do with an empty RS.  Then none of that matters, except the take from the Bingo game. 😉

Pricing makes sense.  The spread between CP and GS is greater than OV Balcony and GS

Can someone share the Michael Bayley email.

thanks

Perhaps it would be more appropriate and effective to have your travel agent contact the resolutions department with any concern or issue you may have rather than jumping to the president/CEO with individual email contacts.

Although I have direct contact with corporate level staff, I would never contact them directly with anything but a compliment!

Different issue, plus I emailed Jim Berra anyway.  I'm not one to email a company president.  I just asked here because this is a very active thread.

Just received our up email this am.  We book the Harmony for winter break (popular week) Feb. 17th.  When we book Monday, and I called again yesterday to check, there was no room higher than a crown loft so that is what we booked.  We asked to be put on a waiting list for the Star loft.  Well on the up email this am, they had the Star Loft, 1300, Villa Suite, 2100, 2 Bdr Aqua 500.  I put in a bid for Star and Aqua.  What I am wondering is did they purposely not sell these rooms in hopes of making more money?  I figured we wouldn't get an royalup email as there was nothing to move up to available.

In all likelihood your wife is listed as Passenger 1 on your invoice.

My son and daughter-in-law both got the email for our cruise but my wife didn't so I don't think there's a rhyme or reason.

We leave Sunday and I have been calling for weeks looking for an upgrade from our JS.   We got an email yesterday to RoyalUp to a GS, OS, or Royal Suite,  so I am wondering the same.   When I call the casino office, they show sold out.

Heres another twist for you all.  Yesterday I immediately bid the max amount for an upgrade on the OS, Slyloft, upper loft, and GS.  I am on Anthem 1/6 12 day its our 30th anniversary and I said what the hell lets see what happens.  We are currently in JS/lg balc.

I went to click on modify today and now the "max bid" is higher than the offer I made yesterday.  Thats a game changer for me.  If They are going to continue to raise the bar without us knowing thats not very cool.  They will just continue to raise the max bid to raise revenue on already guaranteed money from earlier bids. If they are going to continue to raise the bar on the max bid that is not cool with me.

But isn't that the way an auction works ?  $5...do I hear $10....do I hear $10

Where did you go to modify it? Never mind. I found it. 🙂

I'm surprised there is an upper limit anyway.  What does the gauge say on your current bid?
