Well I’m still not sure if the bid was successful or not.  Still pending and no way to modify or cancel.  This is for Anthem’s 4/10 sailing.  Enjoy Allure…hope you get to see Mama Mia!!  My favorite!!

I had the same situation recently and I won the JS, I’m sure you will too!

I understand that you can receive your upgrade even after getting on the ship but curious approximately when most people receive their upgrade? 2 weeks prior to sailing or when???

We received the confirmation of our Royal Up bid two weeks before the sailing date.

Thank you for the info.  We had the ability to place bids on several different types of suites but when I do a mock up booking it only shows 1 suite available, grand suite. (May TA cruise).

Has anyone recently had a bid accepted to a room that a mock booking didn't show any availability for?

Not recently, but one explanation at least thru 31Mar is RCCL has purportedly been limiting bookings to 50-65%.  We won our bid last Aug (first time!) when our sailing was at 25% capacity - even though online showed sold out.

This means that even though mock bookings show sold out, there's still inventory available to RoyalUP to - which brings additional revenue to RCCL.

So don't lose hope, keep the faith, stay positive, and just maybe, perhaps...

Thanks…I hope you’re right.  Would be nice since we’re celebrating my husband’s 65th birthday!!!

If you read thru the almost 300pgs (OMG!) of this thread you'll learn that a Pending bid with no option to modify is a good sign - but not a guarantee...  We're rooting for both of you that the RoyalUP happens!

Got the royal up success email yesterday for a April 3 cruise.  The offer was not locked and could have been modified earlier in the day  which was the oppersite to our January royal up which was locked for two week prior to been granted.

Just wanted to share that we just got our bid accepted in Royal Up today for our April 4 4-night cruise on the Freedom.

We had a Guarantee interior and got a balcony for the minimum bid ($95 CAD/person).

Break out the champagne! 🍾

Can someone answer a question? When you up grade your room do they charge for every person in room? We have three in a room .When i try to upgrade it only list two of us

No.  You only pay for 2 regardless of how many people are in the room.

I have connecting staterooms so I’m assuming I won’t be able to try this for this cruise, yes? This is pretty much only for one-offs and/or groups who don’t care if they get split up?

That's correct.  There's no way to upgrade connected or adjacent staterooms together via RoyalUp -- you have to actually change your reservation and pay the going rate for the new rooms if you want to keep two rooms together.

I've had this cabin in the past, completely loved it (I will say the seas were calm, you will feel motion up there). Amazing views and large cabin. Enjoy!

Just got my Royal Up email for Adventure in June (Bermuda 5 night). Currently in an aft balcony on deck 9. I’m fine with my current room and don’t usually try to upgrade through this program, but the minimum bids are pretty reasonable. $60pp for Junior Suite, $80pp for Grand Suite, $125pp for Owners Suite. Definitely gonna have to try for some of these. I know I wouldn’t get the double points for being in a suite, but my wife would kill for a real tub instead of a phone booth shower. Thoughts??

Definately do the royal up!  I would try to make sure that I bid above the minimum category.  Good luck
