NavyEmt Posted November 29, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2018 Going on the sunshine soon and have started a diet (Yes, I know how stupid of an idea that is) and I have been drinking unsweetened Iced tea instead of colas or coffee. If memory serves me right the only place to get unsweetened Iced tea the MDR? Is there any way to get it also on the lido deck? I know there are hot tea packs but that is a last option. Purvis1231 Posted November 29, 2018 #2 Share Posted November 29, 2018 Tea is available on the Lido deck.
Nic6318 Posted November 29, 2018 #3 Share Posted November 29, 2018 Hi You can order a pot of tea from room service. Keep it overnight, add ice et voila. Hang on to your pot and you can continue making your own. Bring your own tea, if you have a preference. hope this helps have a great cruise
NebraskaSatellite Posted November 29, 2018 #4 Share Posted November 29, 2018 I was able to get unsweet tea in both the MDR and the Lido on the Breeze this summer without any trouble.
skrufy Posted November 29, 2018 #5 Share Posted November 29, 2018 All ships have unsweetened iced tea 24 hours a day on the Lido deck,
SadieN Posted November 29, 2018 #6 Share Posted November 29, 2018 I make my own iced tea because I simply tolerate the stuff out of the dispenser. Two tea bags brewed strong, poured over a full cup of ice.

If you are used to brewed tea, you will probably not like it. It has nasty taste.
Doggielover68 Posted November 30, 2018 #9 Share Posted November 30, 2018 Also, I've never personally checked but the tea might not even be low calorie. As others said it comes from a liquid concentrate that likely has additives in it. Just letting you know in case you want to check the label yourself. I am sure one of the lido staff would happily let you take a look. I've been dieting too for the past year so I understand the struggle. Gotta save those empty calories for the desserts!
GMRPHRN Posted December 1, 2018 #10 Share Posted December 1, 2018 I drink unsweetened tea out of preference. I find the tea on the lido just tolerable. I prefer water. Sometimes even in the MDR it is unacceptable but I keep trying. I had not thought of trying the tea bag thing. I may do that on my next cruise. Shaded Lady Posted December 1, 2018 #11 Share Posted December 1, 2018 Just remember to bring a large cup with a lid, like a Tervis Tumbler or something like that to have your tea in... the cups they provide are teeny!
beachbum6264 Posted December 1, 2018 #12 Share Posted December 1, 2018 I add just a splash of the lemonade that's in the same dispenser as the tea. It makes the tea semi-palatable.
