Docker123 Posted December 15, 2018 #52 Share Posted December 15, 2018 Good to hear you have made it safe, and thanks for the photos. the description and photos of the shower brought back so many fond memories of being a guest, multiple times, in the Epworth Hospital. Enjoy.
Muckyduckway Posted December 15, 2018 #53 Share Posted December 15, 2018 (edited) Sounds like you're settling in nicely. Our cabin (10132) is not far from yours on the starboard side, so sounds like we could be Tsars too. Do you remember what time you arrived at the OPT? We're thinking we'll drop off the bags early, and have a leisurely breakfast before returning for check-in. Where exactly are bags accepted? When we are allocated to an accessible room with roll-in shower, we ask for extra towels to use like sandbags around the shower. Works really well if you're not actually rolling-in. As we had supper with gbenjo the night before we arrived at about 11.00 at his suggestion. Just as he was opening his terminal. But baggage drop drop seemed to start around 8:30. GUT2407 Posted December 15, 2018 Author #59 Share Posted December 15, 2018 Been a few complaints about Stewards, one waited 2 and 1/2 hours to unlock mini bar for medication to go in. Another cabin has waited three days for extra pillows for the third guest. we haven’t met ours at all yet, but can’t complain about the servicing of the cabin

Docker123 Posted December 16, 2018 #69 Share Posted December 16, 2018 Seems like a really slow scheduled trip across Bass Strait. 36 hours to get from Burnie to Station Pier. left Burnie at 9 last night, to arrive 9am Tuesday. Even the Spirit only takes about 10-12.
Kiwi Kruzer Posted December 16, 2018 #70 Share Posted December 16, 2018 Yes...they have scheduled a day at sea , but in Bass Strait, ????? OK if the weathers good but they could have given them a day cruising , say, Wineglasss Bay or even Phillip Island where Seabourne Sojourn is spending the day . Gbenjo has said if I didn’t check in through him, and used wheelchair express he’d never talk to me again. Hey Gut.. why are you shouting???????? By the way..... what I really said was if you used wheelchair express check in I would never HAVE TO speak to you again.

Docker123 Posted December 17, 2018 #75 Share Posted December 17, 2018 Port Operations have revised arrival to 7am. Cruise ship schedule shows original time of 9am. I wonder if some of this has to do with the change of routing, going to Hobart before Burnie rather than the other way around.
