Nonnie1975 Posted December 10, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 10, 2018 We are on this cruise and Los Angles is one of the ports. We are there from 7-9, As of right now there are no excursions, there is nothing there. Has anyone taken this cruise or know why there are no excursions listed. Thanks! bemis12 Posted December 10, 2018 #2 Share Posted December 10, 2018 Are you saying you’re there from 7 o’clock to 9 o’clock? Or on July 9?

joeyancho Posted December 10, 2018 #4 Share Posted December 10, 2018 If you are looking for something to do, there is the Long Beach Aquarium near the dock. Also the Queen Mary is right there. Short cab or uber ride. Hundreds of things to do in LA.

There will be ship tours offered. Princess probably just hasn't completed the contracts. Keep watching the cruise personlizer. When we took this itinerary the ship did dock in Long Beach right near the Queen Mary. The Aquarium and Shoreline Village are also nearby. Over in San Pedro you can find the USS Iowa. If you want to see sights in L.A. you will have to arrange some tours. I would check to see exactly where it the ship is scheduled to dock. Normally Princess sails from San Pedro, but on the coastal cruises they usually dock in Long Beach.
EDDY0827 Posted December 10, 2018 #6 Share Posted December 10, 2018 I am on the Grand departing 3/30 from S.F. The L.A. port call has been changed to San Pedro. Excursions WERE listed a couple of bays back but have been pulled. Hopefully they are updating the excursion list. We are going to take the Catalina Express to Catalina for the day. Escape the mainland rat-race. It is not listed as an excursion, we are doing it on our own. We will rent a golf cart and explore the island for the day. FTBLCOACH Posted December 10, 2018 #7 Share Posted December 10, 2018 We've done this cruise for the past two years and have docked at Long Beach the week of the Grand Prix. With the race course set up it was really interesting, especially when watching the race the following weekend. What a disappointment when we were notified that this year's cruise will dock at San Pedro. I will admit, though, that the self guided tour of the USS Iowa (BB61) is fascinating, affordable, and an easy stroll from the terminal. We actually thought about taking the Catalina Express to Catalina for the day as their dock is right next door to the terminal...maybe next year.
