Latest NCL offer

I noticed this morning NCL changed their promo on my future cruise and a bunch of others to include all 6 free at sea perks for balcony and above, 3 for ocean view.  This seems to be the best offer they have given in a while.  I booked with this same offer a few weeks before Thanksgiving, and the Black Friday and Christmas sales were not as good, but they brought it back now.  Just wanted to point it out for anyone on one of these cruises and not past final payment.

Warning. If you are thinking about this and have already booked a room please check to see what the room will cost with this promotion. We have booked a room on the Jade in October so I checked what the price would be now and for a Balcony room it went up over $2000 so these extra "perks" are not free. We are staying with our original booking.

Agreed. A lot of the "promotions" are smoke and mirrors/shell games.

Price for the cruise we've been considering for January 2020 has stayed exactly the same with the new promo added on a balcony room.

Your mileage may vary, caveat emptor, buyer beware and all that, but it's not ALWAYS an attempt to screw over the customer.  Sometimes a better deal really is a better deal.

Some of their pricing is laughable,  Getaway rate vs rate eligible for free at sea offers...

4-500 a person more, before you add the grats...mainly talking balcony and above rooms...

I have noticed it creeping up steadily the last 6-12 months.

Celebrity has sone fair looking deals with a one perk offer..tempting..

Might be different for some, but on mine the price has been the same, with or without the extra free promotions, so it really is (was, I jumped on board when they ran a similar one in early November) free.  But I only originally booked in September for this coming March.  When they drop the extra promotions, my room category stays the same price.  Plus I like getting the port credit perk since you can then book excursions without paying in advance, but would never pick that over the drink package or dining package if I didn’t get all.  Having the 250 minutes of WiFi now is nice too.  I don’t take advantage of the airfare although it would be free since I live close, but driving 4 hours is less of a hassle than flying.   Might not help all, but something to look into possibly since it could benefit some.

We switched two 2019 cruises to the Take All 6 promotion in November. Our price actually went down on one of them. It stayed the same for the other. Both are minisuites.

I know.  I know.  You've heard this a thousand  times...and several times that was from me.   However, I saw this thread.  Thought I'd check it out for an early season Alaska cruise.   I checked the Jewel one way cruises.  The free or reduced fare airfare promo bennie for that cruise (we fly out of Nashville) added an additional $2200 to the cruise price.   I can book that myself for about $900 cheaper.  Think I'll just say no to this NCL promo.

Yeah the free air fare promo is wonky sometimes and it gives impossibly high fares that are an error.  I’d call. But not sure about today.  I’ve been on hold for about an hour now, but that is also for casino at seas might be easier to get through to a regular operator.  No way is it 400,296.  It gives me free airfare Boston to NY, but I’d rather drive.  It gave me 249 though this morning from Boston to Seattle round trip and that seems to be a deal.  I’d have to see what I could get on my own, but that seemed low.

Also, you obviously don’t need to take the airfare promotion but can take the others.

Right.  For example, I'd probably decline the free wifi promo.  A lot of the benefit of cruises for me is that I have to completely disconnect while out at sea.

last month we sailed for 11 nights, balcony, with 5 free at sea + distinctive voyage perks for under $1050.

I had little interest in the wifi or the shore excursion but I did make use of both of them.   I was a big fan of the UBP and SDP.

the deals are out there with NCL if you're diligent.  not for all months, unfortunately, but they're out there.

Anybody else take advantage of the price goof ups on NCL's 2021 cruises like I did today? They had prices on some April cruises on the Encore and Joy where balconies and three perks were $500 less than a basic inside with one perk. I couldn't get my debit card out fast enough for a deposit.

Prices for my August sailing stayed the same but with the addition of guests sail free, NCL took $1,398 off my bill today 🎉

Thanks for this info!  I assumed they wouldn't add that promo to an existing reservation.  I am going to try it!

Does NCL drop prices after final payment date?

Yes they have dropped prices after Final Payment - too late for your booking to get an adjustment -

but wait you can call and get perhaps a token OBC or an upgrade to a next level cabin as a consolation.

But you have to call or if working thru with a TA make the call. Don't expect much however.

Cancelling and rebooking to get the difference is not productive.

I am thinking of waiting until after final payment date to make my booking. I don’t have a booking now.

I have to say thank you to the OP because I just called and saved myself 1500 bucks on my cruise. I haven't checked for new prices in a couple of days but did it as soon as I read this post.   thanks again!!

You’re welcome!  I saw it change and figured some people may miss it with New Years and all.  I’ve learned a great deal from CC, so trying to pay it back by helping others!

Someone mentioned price goof ups, I saw a bunch on the Joy today.
