Monorail Orange Posted November 12, 2019 #251 Share Posted November 12, 2019 Well that's good to know then. And they'll need plenty of space, as no doubt the prom will be a popular spot.
jaydee6969 Posted November 13, 2019 Author #252 Share Posted November 13, 2019 Borrowed from elsewhere, and obviously filmed a while ago, but a video of the Skydome lift from the crane company, Liebherr.

jaydee6969 Posted November 15, 2019 Author #257 Share Posted November 15, 2019 Odyssey of the Seas mega block floated out to the harbour, and Iona now floating in the dock. Ship should me moved towards the doors before draining the dock again. Photos from Jeroen van Roijen.
jaydee6969 Posted November 16, 2019 Author #258 Share Posted November 16, 2019 Slight correction, close up photo shows the dry dock partition still in place. Perhaps they need to drain, move the hull support blocks to suit Iona, then flood and move. All guess work. Suite for maiden clearly identified although apparent overhang from above may provide unwanted shade. Probably doesn’t matter for Norway though! 😉

jaydee6969 Posted November 17, 2019 Author #272 Share Posted November 17, 2019 A couple of photos from a visitor to the yard yesterday. The masking on the stern has been removed, and it also appears that the dry dock separator has been removed. Possibly the dock will be flooded this week and Iona moved towards the doors. jaydee6969 Posted November 18, 2019 Author #274 Share Posted November 18, 2019 Meyer Werft have stated in a post relating to Odyssey of the Seas, that Iona is expected to leave the dry dock mid February 2020, for the 'float out'. No idea of Ems conveyance yet, but as I will be on board Britannia early April next year, will probably be then so I miss the spectacular voyage down the river.
