They have things cleaned up and boarded up. The fire was behind the scenes for the most part except one bathroom building. Things not running two bathroom buildings no electricity and no WiFi. They are moving extremely fast. Things will get better every week. 1

floridalover5623 Posted February 5, 2019 #10 Share Posted February 5, 2019 To bad about the Wi-FI. It was free for everyone two weeks ago.
newhawaiicruiser Posted February 5, 2019 #11 Share Posted February 5, 2019 Just an FYI - We were also at Princess Cay yesterday, and you should be aware there is no running water to wash hands after using the restroom. Just Purel hand sanitizer. The beach is still beautiful, and we had a great day, but with all the warnings you get onboard about hand washing, it might have been a good idea to alert passengers ahead of time.
mevs904 Posted February 5, 2019 #12 Share Posted February 5, 2019 We’re scheduled to be there on March 24. This is very welcome news. Thank you! I’m hopeful that by then there will be additional improvements.

We agreed 100%, as a lot of other passengers on board did. Many other people we met were surprised as there was no running water in the bathroom sinks and most hand sanitizers were empty outside the bathrooms and by the buffet line on the island. We did enjoy the sunshine.
satxdiver Posted February 10, 2019 #17 Share Posted February 10, 2019 Desalination plant on PC was wiped out by fire so they cannot provide fresh water. It will take awhile to get it replaced.
Alabaster Cruiser Posted February 11, 2019 #18 Share Posted February 11, 2019 We were there too. Should not have taken us there. Princess should have used Half Moon or anything else. No power....no music, no blenders, hot beer, cool barbecue. No running water....bathrooms not functioning at all on one side. No one including employees washing hands....yuck. Was a poor choice in my opinion.
