villager70 Posted February 24, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2019 Hi fellow cruisers. Has anyone or ( BOB ) heard what will be done and if Bahamas or other facility will be used? The cruise for that week was cancelled months ago because repairs needed before Europe crossing. We are on 4-7 and have been on a few right after repairs and they continue on through the next cruise.Any info would be appreciated. Bob

villager70 Posted February 24, 2019 Author #7 Share Posted February 24, 2019 Just now, Host Clarea said: Are we talking about Allure or Oasis? BOB it is the OASIS. She departs from Canaveral after our 4-7 and the 4-14 cruise. Big drydock in Europe after summer cruises and she returns to Miami. Bob

Missymo Posted February 24, 2019 #9 Share Posted February 24, 2019 Did not know about the mini in April, but saw this article online after Oasis's summer run in Europe. "Oasis of the Seas will undergo a bow-to-stern transformation before homeporting at Royal Caribbean’s custom-built Terminal A at Port Miami for autumn and winter 2019/20 seasons." stobe1 Posted February 24, 2019 #12 Share Posted February 24, 2019 I'm not sure that the Oasis will fit into a mini dry dock without the help of Wayne Szalinski.

I just hope she gets the repairs done and ON TIME for our cruise.Jewel did that a couple years ago and had over 100 contractors on our cruise completing repairs and additions before she sailed to med. Rare orville99 Posted February 25, 2019 #17 Share Posted February 25, 2019 We were on Oasis at the beginning of the month, and were told by an officer that it would be going in for a "wet dock" in freeport before it did the TA to Europe. The last time they did one of those on an Oasis class ship it was for azipod repairs that couldn't be done from the inside of the azipods. Perhaps that's what they're doing this time as well.
