Seems like they voted approval earlier than normal. I can't see this benefit ever going away, but always nice to see it re-upped!

tandemcruzr Posted March 9, 2019 #8 Share Posted March 9, 2019 I didn't know there was a form. I FAX a letter with all my info along with a copy of my statement showing proof of ownership and get a confirmation e-mail within a few days. Loved the $250 OBC on our Journey Cruise.

Curious how you sent yours in this last time? I've been sending them through attached email to guest admin., but received a form to either mail or fax now. I liked the old way of doing it better. Thanks for any information.

Is this language new? We have been able to use the credit in the Casino in the past.

Because I got it on cruise last year where I was the TC.
shoptom Posted March 12, 2019 Author #14 Share Posted March 12, 2019 I print my statement page showing the stock, scan it into my computer, than use a free online fax to send in the picture. Carnival confirmed via email. The wording looks the same to me and I used some credit in the casino last trip too.
nudistcruzer Posted January 18, 2020 #15 Share Posted January 18, 2020 If you owed anything above your casino money, you didn't use your credit for the casino. The totals are finished at the end. This has been the policy for a long time. Generally, I have always spent more than my credits. One time, on another cruise line, I was going to end with a credit balance but I still owed for the 5 days of Food Poisoning. The cruise line saw this was bad and they made it right, I owed nothing at the end. Also, Note: because of my illness and others on that very cruise, procedures were put in place to prevent this from ever happening again. You will never again see a large bucket of "real" Hollandaise sauce on any cruise line at the buffet. Although poisonous (because of bacteria) the sauce was delicious. Also, bring Ciprofloxacin on your next cruise, after 24 hours, it's not "Norovirus".
Cruise-Crazy Posted January 19, 2020 #16 Share Posted January 19, 2020 Good to see it’s still in place. I have never used a form, just fax a copy of my statement and a letter showing the booking info requesting the OBC. They do prefer fax rather than email. Usually takes a couple of days. Now, THAT'S the best idea I've heard of in a LONG time. H.B.B.! Excellent idea! What better way to honor those that are stockholders of the 'Corporation' than to host a 'Stockholders Host'? Nothing more, nothing less. One free. toast to the Corporation. I vote for 'yes'.
jaylau17 Posted March 1, 2020 #19 Share Posted March 1, 2020 I have a question about the shareholder on board credit requirements: When it says “anyone cruising on a reduced-rate or complimentary basis are excluded from this offer” does this mean that if you are sailing with a discounted casino offer or some other discounted VIFP offer that you won’t be eligible for the shareholder on board credit? That’s how I’m reading it but that seems extremely limiting.

No, from reading these boards I get the impression that that only applies to the interline rates and the casino rates when they are basically a free cruise. However, doing the slots of which I charge to the room. It comes off of all of my OBC which includes the stock OBC both on Carnival and princess along with my vets OBC on Princess. Once ALL of my OBC is used up, no matter how I received it is used up. Then and only then is my charge card charged. As far as the reservations required to be made by February 28, 2020. It really means nothing at all. last year it indicated 2018. I still received it on all the cruises. My wife and I just did our voting for the stock holders yearly meeting.
