What to spend $200 casino OBC on besides gift shops?

i have a 'free' 11day cruise on the Pearl.

i get $200 obc from the ship's casino, which cant be used to gamble.

Excursions- been to all the ports already. I just walk around town.

Food- i chose 5day sdp as my perk. Also, as Platinum, i get 2 more sdp and hopefully 4 since im going solo. (match up with another solo platinum.)

Drink- i get free premium level drinks (same as UBP) at the casino bar due to my tier level. for dinner, i stop off at the casino bar first for a glass of wine. for the times when the casino is closed, i just get beers from the night before and leave it in my fridge.

i'm not a spa type of guy.

i cant use casino obc to buy CruiseNext certificates. (learned the hard way on a previous cruise. 😞 )

Worst case scenario, i'll buy alcohol at the gift shop and bring it home.

Any other Suggestions?

Get a "Robert Kraft" extra special massage at the spa. 😊

can do that for free on your own, get nice scotch or cologne or a watch lol

trade it for money at a 75% ratio? find someone in shop who wants to buy cigs or something and trade the use of your obc for some cash and go gamble with that? may "lose" some of your "free" obc but youd get to do with it what you want

I usually use my OBC on fancy bottles of alcohol that I wouldn't normally splurge on at home. The duty free store has a good selections of liquor that can't be purchased in the states or limited edition bottles etc.  You can also purchase cheap cigs for friends. Maybe have some fun playing in the arcade or bowling at O'Sheehan's.

Perfume, jewelry, sunglasses, watches or maybe some clothing. If you like specialty coffees from Starbucks that will come off your OBC. Tips can also come out of your OBC. Whatever I have left I usually leave to the hard working counselors at the kids club (even on cruises where I don't bring my children) those guys work hard and are not part of the DSC. If you truly can't find something to use up your OBC you can always designate it as a tip to whomever you choose.

Really ?? At the risk of sounding sexist , I will say this anyway- you must be male. Women never have any problem deciding how to spend free money. 🙄

I'd be all over any onboard shop with that! lol

If you intend to cruise NCL again, check out the cruisenext program. Terms available on NCL.com. your onboard credit can be used to offset the cost of the certificates

Re-read my OP

.I go to slot machine put in card, charge $200 to my room, and has always been offset by my OBC. Check at casino to be sure.

Unfortunately, that wont work.

Casino OBC wont offset any casino charges, including casino room charges 😞

Thats just weird, I cannot say I have ever met a kids counselor on the ships. Kids aren’t allowed in the casino 😃

Sheridan and Amarula. Very often they sell out on the first night of the cruise so those are usually the first I grab. If you haven't tried them they are DELICIOUS!

Oh and Hennessy pure white that's always a good one that you can't get here.

Thank goodness! The casino is the one place I get a little kid free time... thanks to those hard working kids counselors 😁

Wonderful ideas on the Sheridan and Amarula. I had Amarula once and loved it. I forgot all about it! And just googled Sheridan, wow that looks good. Now I want both!

Another vote for Sheridan. I always grab a bottle as I have yet to find it locally, though I haven't searched alot. Just easier to grab on ship.

OP, you must be Sapphire with CAS?   So $200 plus whatever additional comps you might earn.

From what I was told in the past, I don't think they can comp tips.   (I'm Ruby, starting with $400 OBC plus my additional comps earned during cruise.)  It's easy for most of us women to find jewelry or perfume or makeup or purses.

The suggestion above for something from the photo shop might work for you.  The larger ships usually have several cameras, binoculars and other gadgets you might find useful.     And I'm now adding Sheridan to my list 🙂

It really doesn't matter what you can or cant buy in the States, does it. You have onboard credit to burn and limited ways to use it. The value expires at the end of your cruise. So, instead of paying full price for liquorin the States, you could effectively get the liquor for free while onboard plus perhaps a small duty and the inconvenience of having to carry it home, depending on where home is.
