Grandma Cruising Posted April 18, 2019 #3 Share Posted April 18, 2019 As I love all seafood, my two favourite Italian dishes are spaghetti vongole and fritto misto. I first had fritto misto on my first visit to Venice and it remains my favourite city in the world.

laurieb Posted April 20, 2019 #9 Share Posted April 20, 2019 The best meal we’ve had in Italy was in Ravello; the atmosphere, the views, the wine and the amazing food made for a perfect day.

He says one of the best places to eat in Rome is at Stazione Termini and Romans who are not travelling often go there to just have a meal. My favourite Italian Dish is Wild Boar Pasta and the most delicious Millefeuille type dessert at a little family owned restaurant near Campo dei Fiori in Rome. I also love Torrone semi freddo. In fact I love any Italian food. 😄
Baynanno1 Posted July 10, 2022 #12 Share Posted July 10, 2022 (edited) Always a good idea to go where the locals go to eat - best meal ever in Rome many years ago - so good we went back to the same restaurant a couple of blocks away from where we were staying for a repeat of the delicious meal more than once during our stay : Sicilian Swordfish. 😋 Edited July 10, 2022 by Baynanno1
lisiamc Posted July 10, 2022 #13 Share Posted July 10, 2022 Porchetta, maialino, bistecca alla Fiorentina, and a Marchigiani variant of lasagne called Vincisgrassi. I always look forward to my first cappuccino when we come back, too.
Rare travelberlin Posted July 11, 2022 #14 Share Posted July 11, 2022 I have just realized this thread was started by Bonnie, who was appointed by Azamara and who was very helpful. I know she is not anymore at Azamara. Anyone knows where she is? Is the a chance she might come back to Azamara? To stay in topic Italian food is my favorite. Difficult to say which dish I like the most. But Osobuco is one of them. Ivi
