On board Itinerary

Are you asking about the daily newsletter (each Cruiseline calls it by a different name)? This must be your first cruise.

You will find a newsletter in your cabin every evening with details for ship activities for the following day. There will be Port information as well if that day is a port day.

If you want more information in advance (like which nights are evening chic or formal nights,) you can also ask on the Roll Call for your particular sailing. Or you can post a question on the forum devoted to your cruise line.

I imagine ships have a "template" of sorts, but the cruise director could change things up. Looking at the "schedule" for one cruise can give you a general idea but if the cruise director changes they could mix things up some.

Many time, the schedule you get for day 1, will have a recap of the evening dress for the entire cruise.

True ... Helpful for planning for the rest of the cruise.  Sometimes there is an exexpected change.  :classic_wink:

These days, on most lines, dress is optional.  Our last cruise (last week :D) on "formal" night, I saw men in everything from tuxes to shorts/t-shirts.

IT IS A VACATION.  RELAX and enjoy, don't overthink it and get too wound up.

Thank you for your reply! I guess I was unclear in my initial post. As per other comments, I was looking more for how many formal nights to expect. This is super helpful to give me insight on what to expect. We are first time cruisers. Thank you kindly for your kind and informative response.

You can often find that info on the cruise line’s own website; below is Carnival’s dress code page with the info you are looking for. It’s also something you can ask about here on CC in the forum for your cruise line.

Enjoy your first cruise!
