General Comments

We have a room of 3 people total (2 + 1 child) and have a mid-tier OV on the 3rd deck. We put in multiple bids with the lowest available + a bit more for the verandas, and something we were told by our TA would at least put us in the running for the suite. The fact that the suite is still pending is good news (3 rooms available for parties of 3-4 on the ship) I'm hoping while the others are all expired/rejected.

Hi, I saw this and was just wondering how MoveUp worked for 3 in a cabin. Did you just pay for the 2 adults?

Minimum was $300 for Celebrity,  Royal Suite -$1,000, Penthouse $1,500. Saw that there were 3 CS available so took a shot. Normally book Aqua so a Sky Suite was an upgrade for us. CS just an added splurge.

Neither cabin is showing as available, I jut booked this cruise on Dec 17th and every class of suite was available except the reflection suite.  The only suites showing available now are Celebrity and SS. I am happy in a SS am just trying to surprise the wife. Both offers still show as pending.

I made an offer for a Concierge for the minimum, which was a weak offer, but there is a lot of open concierge cabins on the sailing, and only 1 open Aqua Class Cabin.

Good luck. We were on Reflection in a Royal Suite in November.  We booked it as the price to change our booking was only $200 above the minimum bid so well worth locking it in.  The hot tub on the balcony was awesome. Best sail away venue ever.

I got an email that my MoveUp bid was accepted for 1/2/23 Equinox 10-day jumping from inside to veranda for $500pp… BUT my RCCL credit card expired 11/22 so it was declined. Even though I quickly jumped through every hoop to update my expiration date and inform them… crickets. We’re now less than 72 hours out and tons of balconies still open but I guess we’re sailing on my strategically chosen inside (#1023) and saving $1k. I’m a little bummed. It was my first time using MoveUp. Double check everything so this doesn’t happen to you!

Did you call the 'move up' dept. directly?  They were very helpful to me when I requested a cabin change.  Phone # I had on an email:  866.752.4752

If there are a lot of cabins available, check with guest services as soon as you board and explain your situation. Tell them you're not looking for a free upgrade, but ask if they have any paid upgrades available. Many ships do and it's generally a fixed price per day depending on what level you're moving from and what you're moving to.

Good luck,

Kevin

Hope this helped.

Thanks so much! Just landed in FLL. We decided to take our chances when we check in tomorrow. We booked what appears to be a larger inside from the deck plans. A veranda would be welcome but won’t make or break our trip. Fingers crossed.

Did you confirm that you do not still owe the money for your winning bid?  I would  not think you could just not pay and not still owe the money.

Celebrity Suite - $2000pp

Sky Suite - $1000pp

This was the exact situation that we had on our October 15th 9-night on Equinox. I thought the minimum bids were way too high, and also chose not to bid. Same as you, we were already in AquaClass.

How did you know the minimum had changed?  When I go into my move up offer it just says "Offer Received", so I don't know how I would be able to tell?

Good to know - We're on the 21st sailing so if you're on the 14th and got notified today I'd expect an accepted/declined a week or so from now....and another week past that for our 28th sailing....

You have to select your pending offer and click the change offer button. Then move the slider around to see if it can go lower.
