Allure FLL-Earliest Concierge will Escort off Ship

Recommended Posts

Hello, CC!

Cruising on Allure in 3 weeks. Have not been on Royal in a while; what is the earliest that the Concierge escorts guests off the ship? We have an early flight  and will take our own bags off; just need to know if the concierge has set times or can we ask for early debarkation?

Thanks

In my experience the concierges on different ships set various escorted walk-off times. I think the earliest I've seen is 7:30 and then every half-hour until 9:00, but the first one is sometimes later than 7:30. But if you have an early flight then you can just as easily walk-off early on your own.

Sometimes the concierge’s escort off will be later than the self assist walk off.

We needed to get out of Harmony early yesterday. We got in line at six, and walk off started at 6:30.     We were off at 6:35 and on the parking garage at 6:45.

The first group to go off of the concierge was scheduled for  7:30.

Anybody who wanted early off just waited in line. As far as I was told, there was no priority for suite guests or any other crown and anchor group. M

Why would someone need to be walked off the ship?

Perhaps because I am too big of a weenie to leave the ship without some hand -holding. Or maybe I am a pretentious poppinjay who needs to show the world that I can afford a suite. Or - could it be that an escort off the ship to bypass the lines is a perk of a suite?  You see,  I am a very fancy lady and need to let everyone know it!

There are  few questions I could ask you but that would be rude.

That's what I've seen on multiple cruises, first escort off with Concierge was AFTER the self assists

We were on the Allure yesterday and had a 10:30 flight from FLL.  I was a bit concerned about the timing, thought it might be tight but doable.  Boy was I wrong!

We carried our bags ourselves left our cabin at 6:20AM to arrive at a long line on deck 5 it moved super fast, went through customs, grabbed a taxi and was not only at the airport but through TSA and sitting at the gate by 7:40.  It was super smooth we could have made a 9am flight.  I know your question was about being escorted off the ship but we were on our own and it was uneventful and smoother than any other disembarkation.

Hope that helps.

If you are in a suite, the concierge will walk you off the ship. They do this at set times and you leave from the suites lounge. We did it last October on the Allure. You bypass all the lines such as getting off the ship, getting into the terminal and if you have luggage valet, right to the front of the lines for customs. We even went in front of the wheel chairs and scooters.

We left the lounge, on deck 17, about 8:30, and were through airport security and at the gate for American Airlines about 9:05 or so.

will they actually let you do  self assist   via the concierge to bypass the security line?    in our experience they don't begin the process until they are given word that all the suite luggage has been  delivered to the drop off point.  and  they may not be around/available to escort  you any earlier.  and that has always been after the self assist line has dwindled to about 1/2-1/3  of what it was before the call came down the ship was cleared.

A few years ago at Port Everglades we missed the concierge escort so we got in line with everyone else. Once in the terminal, we told the staff that we were in a suite and they let us bypass the line to get downstairs, and they also put us into the shorter TSA line after we claimed our bags.

Because, Suites and Pinnacles have tags for their luggage to be left outside cabin the evening before. That’s first luggage off. Escort is to Suites and Pinnacles luggage in the terminal and then out the door. Our luggage has always been there when we get off around 0730. Self walk off you schlep off your own bags.
