On Carnival it is a sparkling white pearl.

At the moment, non Voyagers' Club members get a white cruisecard, so it wouldn't be very distinguishable if they make the Diamond card white, too.

According to a post on FB, Diamond will be introduced on Oct 20th (2 days after our embarkation date 😏) as a replacement for Black and not as a higher tier.

I didn't know you were in our group Bea, good to have you onboard 🙂

I rarely use CC these days, the facebook forums are taking a lot more time, glad you shared it though 🙂

I was aware of that.  This forum is my go-to place for all things MSC, so if I come across anything noteworthy (and this certainly is) I share it here.  Glad you don't mind me passing on your scoop.

They may give you the new Diamond cards.

I'll be a bit miffed for missing out by 2 days, but I don't think they'll be allowed to issue them before the 20th.  They might be able to 'replace' our issued ones with new ones on or after the 20th, though.  🤔

So by changing the name it points out its exclusiveness! Only MSC could come up with this nonsense.

Just in case we weren't aware of how wonderful the perks of the top tier are. 🙄

It smacks to me of sending a signal that Diamond will be the top tier "going forward"  ... "our top tier" is what they want to make "more clear".

What's the difference?  If the benefits are the same, why the change.  I am a Princess Elite guest and my cruise card is Black.  That color of card is recognized by Princess crew members and I feel more appreciated as a Princess past guest.
