I thought it was. Anyway, perhaps the person didn't know at the time.

I'm not sure when Crystal went all inclusive. It may not have been that long ago - 3 years or so. It was certainly all inclusive when we did the Panama Canal cruise on Crystal Symphony last year.

I have a friend that sails on Crystal.  She smuggles vodka  on for "an eye opener" so they don't think it unseemly she has a nip before noon.

Why would she bother?

Possibly an aversion to paying $70+/- for a bottle.

Not on Crystal, it's all inclusive these days.

My mistake...

So why would you carry on to Crystal??

Sorry but I'm not sure what you mean by that.

"Carry On" as in smuggle.

Why would she bother? On Crystal you can ask for a bottle of vodka for your cabin. No-one is going to check when you drink it.

Because she is an alcoholic and this is how her thought process works.

Ah well, what better place to be an alcoholic than on an all inclusive cruise ship.

Her theory is if you can afford expensive vacations, you can't be an alcoholic.  Sometimes, you just shake your head...
