TeachNY Posted June 11, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 11, 2019 Are people really paying $1,299 for a cabana?! I'm on the Anthem in Nov 2019, and that price just seems outrageous!

Cru1s1ng2009 Posted June 11, 2019 #3 Share Posted June 11, 2019 I think it is insane also but I would never cruise with 7 other people to split the cost. Maybe then it would be worth it.
jptoz Posted June 11, 2019 #4 Share Posted June 11, 2019 My Nov 2 sailing it's the same price. Saw that and spit out my drink. Everything is more expensive in the N.Y.-N.J. area, and RCI knows it.

37645 Posted June 11, 2019 #6 Share Posted June 11, 2019 (edited) I saw this too. Makes me glad that I booked my Chill Island cabana for Symphony in Nov back on Friday for $430. Craziness. Edited June 11, 2019 by 37645
panzafit Posted June 11, 2019 #7 Share Posted June 11, 2019 I've noticed the past few months that the prices of the cabanas change drastically day to day. Anywhere from $499 to $1300.

klfrodo Posted June 12, 2019 #13 Share Posted June 12, 2019 (edited) pricing and discounts are dependant on elite status and cabin type booked. I didn't pay near that much. I'm Emerald staying in a GS Edited June 12, 2019 by klfrodo

cgags47 Posted June 12, 2019 #15 Share Posted June 12, 2019 For anyone who has recently booked a cabana on the Cruise Planner: There's an option to include guests from other reservations. Is that necessary to have people join you? Or can you just show up with them and say "these people are with me"?

That person will get 6 or 8 wristbands in their cabin, depending on which specific cabana they have reserved.

CRUISEFAN0001 Posted June 12, 2019 #21 Share Posted June 12, 2019 Just now, Casino Comp Chick said: 950 for that one UGH - just checked today's price (the prices change almost daily) - $553 for ours. Saw it at $373 just a week ago (again). These postings seem to almost confirm some for of AI is being used daily for establishing pricing - based on what is or is not already reserved (cabanas remaining) and maybe considering C&A status as well. Figuring out the roller-coaster of pricing is futile.
Casino Comp Chick Posted June 12, 2019 #22 Share Posted June 12, 2019 On the plus side, the swimming pig tour just dropped from $109 to $87 so I booked that. 1
Ourusualbeach Posted June 12, 2019 #23 Share Posted June 12, 2019 Personally I think they have more cabanas in total than they do at Labadee and they were having a hard time selling them all at the $300 or $400 price point. Instead of reducing the price further they have raised the prices so that when they drop them down to the $500 level people will think they are getting a bargain and snap them up. Its kind of like the games the gas gas companies play with us (at least in Canada). We all used to b**** when gas prices hit $1.00 per litre then they just kept going up and up. Now we think $1.00 is a great price yet the cost of crude oil is back to where it was when gas was less than $1.00
marjenn Posted June 12, 2019 #24 Share Posted June 12, 2019 Wow! Those prices are outrageous. We booked the Chill Island Cabanas for an October Cruise for just $299.00 each. We have a group of 12 so had to book 2 of them. I feel like we got a steal compared to the other prices posted.
