Is the ship's casino open while in San Juan? Cruising on Sunrise in August

Cruising in August and we get in at 3:30.  Not sure what we can do as excursions are limited and many of the ones offered are walking tours which is not good for some people in my group.  Hoping maybe the casino opens up at 9 pm????

I have been to SJ, PR thrice, and I always find something to do and have never booked an excursion. Indulge in delicious Coquito (gelato, but much better), or a public beach by El Dorado by taxi! As far as the casino question, I am not sure if I can answer that. The universal rule is the casino is closed in port except in ports that allow gambling. Cheers!

Casinos & shops remain closed while in Port. they can not operate until in International waters.. this is standard rule for every cruise line in every port. its the Law. most will be open after about an hour of leaving ports.

not necessarily true, Bermuda, Nassau, and Grand Turk allow gambling in port.

For Bermuda, the ships casino is only open at night, usually from 9pm to like 4am or so.it is never open during the day.

I didn't think you were of age to consume coquito.

No, it wasn't alcoholic, and I didn't drink it. It was like Italian ice cream, but not...

Gotcha. The coquito I bought on our last visit to San Juan was definitely alcoholic.

I'll have to look for the one you are talking about if we make it back to PR again.🙂

You could hand out rolls of paper towels to the hurricane victims.
