BcIcemen Posted June 17, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 17, 2019 (edited) What hotels does anyone recommend for pre cruise stay? TIA Edited June 17, 2019 by BcIcemen
Rare Coral Posted June 17, 2019 #2 Share Posted June 17, 2019 (edited) Everyone likes Pan Pacific as it is right at the pier. Fairmont Waterfront is the next closest. These are both on the high end price wise. Not sure what range you are looking for. Edited June 17, 2019 by Coral
BcIcemen Posted June 17, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted June 17, 2019 Looking for a place to stay as I will be flying in from NY. Price not really a factor if it is more convenient. The further away you stay the more cost you incur. Thanks for the start.
1025cruise Posted June 17, 2019 #4 Share Posted June 17, 2019 You might want to ask on the west coast departures board where this is discussed regularly.

tetleytea Posted June 17, 2019 #6 Share Posted June 17, 2019 I have been happy with the Hyatt Regency and the one at Lonsdale Quay. They were the right balance between price and convenience (for people able to haul a couple bags' luggage a few blocks). Getting to ride the seabus from Lonsdale Quay was a bit of a bonus. Alaska0799 Posted June 17, 2019 #7 Share Posted June 17, 2019 Never stayed at the Pan Pacific but recently saw they have an Alaska Cruise Package that includes breakfast for two and complimentary luggage transfer to Canada Place Pier. Might be worth a look!
donaldsc Posted June 17, 2019 #8 Share Posted June 17, 2019 Vancouver is pricey although remember that prices will be quoted in Canadian dollars. Price range that you are looking for?
Rare Crew News Posted June 17, 2019 #9 Share Posted June 17, 2019 Definitely the Pan Pacific where you just ride an elevator down to the cruise terminal. The Fairmont Hotel is across the street from the terminal. If the cruise line books the Pan Pacific, the discount is huge. There is also an underground mall across the street under the Fairmont Hotel to pick up toiletries, snacks, wine, and food. Enjoy your cruise planning. Pushka Posted June 17, 2019 #10 Share Posted June 17, 2019 We really liked Auberge just a tiny bit further back. We had a great view of one of the cruise berths every morning we woke. And took less than five minutes and down hill to get to Canada Place.

We are booked there pre-cruise next year. Usually we stay at the PP, but they don't have their bookings open this far in advance. So I grabbed a decent price at Auberge. Good to know you liked it 🙂 (and oh yeah, down hill is a bonus!!)

TIA Yes, You go down the elevator or escalator to the ground floor, head towards the conference areas on the left and you can walk inside or outside to the boarding Que. I stopped and got an ice coffee and muffin and sat outside people watching. Its super convenient for getting onboard. You just need your luggage tags on your bags when the bellman comes and you need to call between 8 and 11 I think was the time for them to get the bags and get them on the ship, they give you instructions when you check in if you ask. LEtue Posted June 18, 2019 #15 Share Posted June 18, 2019 Definitely check the Pan Pacific price. I was able to book room for $263 US plus taxes. The total came to $308 pre-paid. Always wanted to stay there and take advantage of the luggage service and a quick walk to the boarding que
Suzanne123 Posted June 18, 2019 #16 Share Posted June 18, 2019 Not as pricey, but very nice Hampton Inn downtown. Free breakfast and shuttle to the pier.
