Casino at sea comped cruise question

i was wondering from anyone who has had a cas comped cruise before if they can answer me a question if i book today say and i book my free offer of say specialty dining and free wi fi and then later decide on the drink package can i switch my offer if pay the18 percent gratuity or am i automatically stuck with what i choose ty from anybody who knows

I concur.  I recently switched to the beverage package on a land based casino offer booked thru CAS.  If you are within final payment, you will probably need to pay the gratuities at the time you make the phone call to CAS.

We have cruised many times on CAS offers.   It's easy to switch your promos up to a couple of days before you cruise.  We used to get the beverage package but now that the convenience fee is so high we have changed to other promos.  We are happy enough with the free drinks in the casino.   

Money saved by not paying that convenience fee will buy us a couple of drinks outside of the casino😉

Really depends on how much you drink - it's definitely NOT the best bang for me!  I mostly only drink while in the casino (where I get free drinks), but I use ALOT of internet.  The internet perk is worth $125 towards unlimited internet.

True but because they are asking about the drink package I’d guess that would save them the most 

 

I also start out w the CAS drink card but also have the full 5 perks on my next 3 cruises 

 

Free Balcony from CAS w free unlimited drinks, Free specialty dining, Free WiFi, $50 OBC per excursion and Free friends and family 😜💰🍹

 

Using the Cruise next vouchers all 3 cruises came out up only $750 each total for 3 of us 😃

Yep, this is what we do!  Great bartenders in the casino and they take good care of us.    For us, the Dining credits and Wifi are the best deal (with the free drinks/bottled water in the casino.)   

For others that can enjoy that all day drinking, the beverage package is the way to go.  Been there and done that for us😉

I'm cheap and won't pay the 20% on a package I won't use.  5 of 6 of my future CAS cruises are Haven comps and I STILL declined the drink package on every one.  So yes, I'm cheap.  😂  I just have no use for it. I have the Ultra CAS drink card and the casino is really the only time I have alcohol, so the beverage package just has no value to me.

I received a CAS offer in the mail but never responded (forgot about it)  Do you ever get another chance or did I blow my chance for a free cruise??

Most of the $$ we used to play in Vegas are just going directly on the cruise now.  Comps from CAS are more fun than comps from Vegas......and I enjoy those Ultra drinks in the casino too😊

It never hurts to call and ask what they can do for you.  If they have mailed you one of those postcard offers in the past it's quite possible they will have an offer for you again.   The CAS agents are usually very nice about answering questions.

We're on the same page - I don't play at all on land anymore!  My "play" money budget is all on cruise casinos now 🙂

The OP is a casino guest and gets free drinks from the casino. So, it is a matter of how much would they drink outside of casino hours to determine if it worth the $$$$.

I think it also depends on what level drink card you qualify for and what types of drinks you like.  I am at the very low level so basically unable to get most of the drinks I want with the free drink card.  I do use it for bottles of water, which is very beneficial.

Sorry to jumpin but how do you know what level of drink card you get? I have a CAS cruise coming up in a few weeks.

Is it based on your room category (i was offered an IA for free).

It is based on you tier level with Casinos at Sea (Jade, Pearl, Sapphire, Ruby or Elite.)  I am not sure about the other levels, but I know Ruby and Elite get the Ultimate beverage card. (Can drink any liquor on the ship - no price limit 😁👍)  There are a couple of drink levels below Ultimate (Premium & House?) but I'm not sure which go to what level.
