Do you ever wish that you hadn’t been impulsive and bought future cruise vouchers for another company!

And you have ended up with 4 that you obviously have to use and would really prefer to be on MSC!!!

And because you have had to book a cruise to use some of them, you have no holiday allowance left for a couple of years so you can’t book another MSC until 2021...

After the 2 that we already have booked that is...

I had one future cruise deposit on Princess that expired earlier this year.  Princess just posted the refunds on my credit card.  What I really should've done was to put a future cruise deposit during my last MSC cruise.  Alas the cruise sales rep was BUSY and MSC doesn't have a system where I can do that from the stateroom's TV (that's how I did it on Princess).

Oh well.  Just missing out on a hundred OBC.  No biggie.  Would be another "nice to have" but won't impact my cruise experience.

One my last NCL cruise, for the first time, I didn't buy the FCC.  Although it is a nice savings, it's a marketing trick...to get you to commit to NCL.

That’s who we got ours with and because it was the last day we bought them we got 4 for the price of 2 Instead of on board credit.

You just reminded me of the €10 vouchers MSC used to sell which would convert into OBC on a future cruise, the amount depending on cabin type booked.  I got €400 OBC on a YC sailing - now, that was incredible value!   (I'd also got 20% discount off the cruise, before Voyagers Club came into being)

NCL vouchers are fully transferable.  There's  lot's for sale on eBay.  I don't think you're supposed to but people even post them for sale here on CC and the ads rarely disappear.

I know....which is another reason I didn't buy them on the ship.

The thing is....I like trying "new for us" ships....new entertainment, food, casino, new "many things"  and when you sail the same line too many things are redundant.

I'm very excited about the upcoming Meragivlia cruise.  Why?  Pizza, pizza and more pizza! Swarovski crystal staircase! Lots of music and dancers!  These are things I just won't find on NCL no matter how many of their ships I go on.

I like NCL FCC as they are the best deal out there.

$100 OBC for MSC -- they could do better, maybe add free internet as well.

RCCL is usually only $100 OBC but lately, my friends have been getting really low costs for the cruise, booking onboard (I thought prices were fixed all across the boards/TAs).

With that being said, and being from Canada, I will check out the what MSC has to offer on mu upcoming August cruise, because I cannot book on the US website anymore and the Canadian one, though in CDN $, is more expensive than the US, even with the conversion rate.

One of the few areas NCL has added staff is their cruisenext department on the ship.  Trying to go on vacation and get away from telemarketers?  NCL will even call your room to solicit certificates.  Pathetic.

As said, you can sell on ebay or over on the boards there are a couple threads with buyers and sellers the first couple pages.

The price varies depending on how many you actually bought and the discount given.

Yes, you can sell the NCL ones to anybody.

Note there are some restrictions like not for use on shorter sailings.  Must travel within four years of purchase.  They have had different times when you can use more than one.

We got 4 for $500 which is good value if you like the product!

The problem with the NCL product is onboard things are generally good but Miami at every turn will drop in some type of customer unfriendly charge or reduction in service multiple times per year.  So by the time you actually sail, likely watered down product.

We have a Canada out of New York October next year and have used 2 vouchers for that and we have the grats, drink package and 3 night dining package included and the price is not bad.

Did you book via UK and not have any surcharges on packages?  Booking in US the free things currently have 20% surcharge on inflated value of product.

Yes from the UK and we have nothing extra to pay as the grants are also included.
