The Devolution of Spin To Win (which I call Spin to Lose)

I went to get my 3 free spin tokens today in the Empress casino as was told by the cage person that the free spin slot machine was being removed next week and there would no more free spins for prizes.  The Loyalty Agent knew nothing about this and was going to look into it. Perhaps another perk going to the wayside.

We used to use them each cruise but then started saving them and have around 30  and plan to use them sometime in the future when we’re up to around 100.  I hope they’re not gone for good.

Taking over the chat for a moment to say HI to Merion_Mom! Enjoy your cruise :).

I'm having a great time.  Thanks for the shout-out, Catherine.

Now, to stay on topic:

One of the regular slot machines that I like to play is right next to the "Lucky Spin" machine.

I wish that I had a nickel for every cruiser I helped figure out how to use it.  (because it's so complicated???)

To recap:  Bottom line win:  one more gold coin

Second line up win:  two more gold coins

Third line up win:  polo shirt

Top line win:  cash ($500? - no one has ever won it.  Go ahead, prove me wrong)

So no more t-shirts.  Oh, they have the t-shirts.  They gave me a couple to use as prizes in our Roll Call Slot Pull.  But apparently you can't win one anymore using the "lucky" machine.

I'm on Symphony now for three weeks. The Lucky machine was removed after the first week as the casino host had advised.

The following cruise our welcome letter still listed three free spins so I inquired and was told we would now get a free spin on a wheel of fortune machine. I have not done it yet.

That is not related to the “spin to win” coins. It’s a casino promotion offered to all cruisers.

That's correct. On the last Harmony cruise it was between $2 and $20. I got $2 my son got $20. My DW was a $2 comp slot winner too. ha! You have to put in your seapass and then eventually your birth month & day as a password.....

We did win a t-shirt a few years ago and have

also won 6-7 key chains. Hadnt heard about the raffle tickets. I dont remember seeing that on our last two cruises which was the Anthem and the Independence.

The $6 is in place of the three free spins. We got $6 play on Symphony this week in lieu of three coins.  This is in addition to the $2 to $100 every guest gets up until day two.

I checked both ways.

I went to cage without knowing, and they said thos was in place of 3 gold coin

Then Laura went to a machine and nothing. Tried every combination. Finally went to cage and they added the promotion. Back to machine and $6 was there😉

Nothing like that available on Jewel this week. No casino perks at all

Last year on both Mariner cruises and Harmony cruise the "free spin" machine was still there, got three coins, and also had the "Free Play", which is available at casino opening first day till second day. These are two different things. There should be a post card with instructions on hold to get the free play at the Casino Host's table. You'll be on the Mariner soon, just check in with the Casino Host day one when casino opens. Most likely it will only be $2, but it is free play.
