Hotels with free shuttle to Manhattan Cruise Terminal

Hi friends! Cruising out of the Manhattan Cruise Terminal on 11/10 with two littles (ages 3 and 1). Figuring with itty bitty legs and lots of suitcases, we're either going to have to stay REALLY close to port, or get some transportation. Are there any hotels in the Manhattan area that offer free shuttle to the port? We don't need parking because we're flying in to LGA and will Uber to a hotel.

No NY City hotels offer a free shuttle to the Manhattan Cruise Terminal. You can easily take Uber or a taxi from your hotel to the port.

With two kids that need car seats, are uber and/or taxi really viable options?

Taxi cabs in NYC I believe are technically exempt from car seat laws. Its up to the judgement of the parents. It is a very short ride depending on where you stay.

Uber does allow you to request cars with car seats in NYC but I believe there is only one provided-- you might need to request two cars for two kids.

NYC's TLC rules exempt all licensed FHV passengers from safety car seat requirements (that is, taxi or car service or ride-share vehicles) - and if arriving into LGA at Terminal B, there is a pickup/staging area upstairs in the designated parking complex to meet the driver/vehicle assigned without needing to take a free shuttle to the designated lot, currently at T-A (Marine Air Terminal) ... which will be necessary if in-bound flight is using T-C or T-D.

Taxis are available at all 4 T's on arrival, join the queue and the dispatcher on duty will help those with extra luggage in getting in a SUV or minivan with the capacity.  Do not use Uber/Lyft if coming into C or D as you will NOT want to drag everyone & everything onto the free shuttle for the ride to the satellite lot on the other side.

For the 1 year old child, IMHO - depending on weight/height - a protective car seat should be a prime consideration, regardless ... which airlines are required to transport free w/o extra charge, and, yes it is an extra piece to deal with in transit.  Our 3 years old grand niece was big/tall enough to use a booster seat for safety when the family was traveling then.

We are staying at the Yotel, it’s on 10th Ave. between 41st. and 42nd streets. The port is on 12th Ave and 50th street. A very short cab ride. Though we have never stayed there my wife researches hotels very closely and it passed her inspection. Any hotel in the Times Square ares is a 10 to 15 minute ride to the port.
