You will know for next time. I have seen the signs both ways, but I would “guess” that is more common to see signs that just say private event or even invitation only. I think it is an attempt not to offend those not invited. For me a written invitation makes it clear to me that I am invited. But I can certainly understand how it might initially be confusing. + I want to thank you for your kind post. Royal Princess was the largest vessel on which I have sailed with the most guests. Even with my cruise/travel experience, I felt overwhelmed. My Royal Princess cruise was a "learning experience" for this Senior Citizen. 1

A serious answer: It's usually in the late afternoon which means "Casual" and in the evening which normally means "Smart Casual". Most folks I see there have already changed for the evening. I agree that dressing for "Smart Casual" would be the appropriate attire. On those evenings when "Formal" where is suggested, because I am a second sitting diner, I went to the Elite Lounge for awhile prior to returning to my stateroom and dressing appropriately for the evening. The first time we are platinum we did not get the card- I saw the private party sign in front of Club Fusion if I remember correctly- I was clueless! Glad I figured it out! Along with the featured items for the evening, there was a nice selection of cheeses, crackers. and crudities with one, maybe two, dips. None of the "specially priced drinks" appealed, but the Steward(ess) willingly took my order and brought me my preferred beverage from the nearest Bar which was Crooner's. A very pleasant amenity for Captain's Circle's Elite Members, I think. Where was it held on Coral?

Obviously not a CoB but probably a decent drink. I've been ordering the Mayan Mule - essentially a Moscow Mule but made with tequila. Again, not the same but a reasonably decent drink. I may give your suggestion a try. We sail on October 19. It's unfortunate they changed the offerings for the PES nosh. For those who may be unaware of the current offerings here is the list with descriptions of the drinks: Edited September 26, 2019 by Thrak

Rare geoherb Posted September 27, 2019 #49 Share Posted September 27, 2019 Here's the current menu from the Crown's transatlantic cruise. We have so many Platinum and Elite passengers that they've moved it to Club Fusion. We've only made it once, and there weren't too many people there. I'm going again in a few minutes for the sushi. I didn't take a photo of the back of the menu. It repeats starting with the goat's cheese, then smoked salmon, then steak tartare, and finally shrimp fountain. The drink specials are listed by day, but we can order any of them any day.
