Signature VS. Celebrity Suite

We received one of the MOVE UP bidding deals from Celebrity. I am considering bidding on a Celebrity or Signature suite. Both suites appear to be the same 394 square feet and the balconies are the same size also. It appears there is somewhat of a difference in the layout. Is there  any real differences? Any preferences anyone? We will be sailing on the Reflection. THANKS

The signature suits are slightly larger 441sqft with 119sqft of balcony.

You also get

Premium ‘All-In’ Benefits:

  • Complimentary Premium Beverage Package for all guests in suite
  • Unlimited complimentary dining in all Specialty Restaurants
  • Unlimited complimentary internet access
  • Complimentary mini bar stocked daily with water, soda, and beer
  • Two complimentary bottles of alcohol with mixers
  • Complimentary laundry service twice per cruise

You may well get the Premium beverage package and the internet for any suit if they are doing the 4 perks offer but the rest and the extra space probably make it worthwhile.

The advantage of the Celebrity suite is location.  The SIgnature suites are on the top of the ship and could experience movement-  The Celebrity suites are centrally located.  However the signature suites have an extra high ceiling and are in a private corridor.  That is on the Reflection- not sure about other ships that have added them on.

Both are great.  Enjoy your cruise.

Celebrity Suite is nice but is not a high-end suite with those type of benefits.  In reality it is just a bigger version of the Sky Suite.

Actually, the Celebrity suite has two rooms.  A living room- with a huge sectional, dressing table and closet- and a full bedroom with a large walk in closet.  In addition, you can access the bathroom through the bedroom and livingroom.  We rotate, depending upon our budget and the cost.  I do like Sky Suites, as they are a big room.  Not crazy about the S1 as the polls in the cabin  could be a hazard walking In the dark to the bathroom and aft location balcony gets sooty and full sun too hot.

Also to respond to another poster- if you move up, you keep your existing benefits .  You do not get additional captains club points.  You also get the same benefits allocated to your new level.  For example from a balcony to a suite- you have access to the retreat lounge, deck and priority boarding/disembarking etc.

If you have no perks or you purchased bev package or wifi outright (not a perk) then there is added value to the Signature suite as a premium bev package and unlimited wifi (1 device) is included as an amenity of that suite (not a booking perk).   If you purchased bev package or wifi and you get the signature suite then they will refund your purchase price.  If the perk was included at booking you could try to switch to OBC or Gratuities.

If you are looking to MoveUp from a suite where 4 booking perks were included then there is no "extra" value to the Signature suite except the room, laundry, mini-bar setup.

Honestly, it truly depends upon cost- we book the unlimited dining package with cruise credit- and I believe the cost of moving from a celebrity suite to a Reflection suite is significant.  So important to consider the cost of perks vs. the cost of the suite and your budget #1-

We just had a Royal Suite on the Equinox and the suite was wonderful!  We even got beautiful bathrobes with our initials to keep. An outside whirlpool , bath and a half- etc.  And bottles of expensive burbon and champagne to bring home!  Unlimited everything!  Including laundry and dry cleaning!  Of course not shore X's, or shop /spa items!  A real treat- but probably never again!  A bucket list item for a special anniversary.

I've traveled in both suites and the Signature Suite is approximately the same size but being on the same floor as the Sky Lounge (actually use to be part of the Sky Lounge) at least on Reflection  has ceilings that are about 10-12 feet high that gives the feeling of a larger room.   The Bathroom is very different and a glass panel between the Bathroom and Bedroom has a switch to be either clear or opaque.   One think I liked about the Signature Suite is on a private hallway with key lock for just the Signature Suite and Reflection Suite.   Made it very quiet.

A quick look at the Specs for the suites on Reflection will show that the Signature suite is a little larger than the CS.

Celebrity Suite --     395 SQ FT.  Balcony 104 SQ FT

Signature Suite_      441 SQ FT  Balcony 118 SQ Ft

There is a live from thread from Chemmo who is sailing in a Royal Suite on Equinox right now.  She stated that they did not get the robes with initials to keep.  How long ago was your cruise?
