Bit confused are you saying get off at St James or do we need to change lines before this ? You have the two options you can get off at St james and walk to your hotel from there or change trains at Central or Town Hall and go to Martin Place and walk from there.

You will need to change at either Central (the first time) or at Town Hall to change lines for Martin Place (goes to Bondi Junction). You could look on the map and see that St James station is sort of close (200m) to your hotel. St James is close enough in my opinion if you take the exit that brings you out at the Court, TRAVELODGE is opposite the Supreme Court.

Rare MicCanberra Posted January 12, 2020 #32 Share Posted January 12, 2020 They do cost a little bit more though.
Rare lyndarra Posted January 12, 2020 #33 Share Posted January 12, 2020 I've taken a Toyota hybrid taxi of some sort from Central Station to White Bay with three friends plus luggage. It was amazing it all went in although we had our back packs on our laps.
Retirement2016 Posted January 12, 2020 #34 Share Posted January 12, 2020 Thank you By the Bay, MicCanberra and lyndarra. Appreciate your replies. I'm also checking with private shuttles. One has a price of $56.00 for 4 passengers. It sounds cheaper than using a taxi.
Rare lyndarra Posted January 12, 2020 #35 Share Posted January 12, 2020 Some of our N American visitors may not be aware that it is perfectly acceptable, and common, for taxi passengers to sit alongside the driver. One person hiring a taxi will almost always sit alongside the driver. Factor this in when considering a taxi if there are four of you.

Some taxis are station wagons, not just sedans.

The_Big_M Posted January 13, 2020 #39 Share Posted January 13, 2020 A good thing the monster shields have gone, which basically took over half the front passenger seat of taxis.

Yes - and the dispatcher at the airport will get you the best cab for your party. When you get to the head of the queue just ask and they will place you on the pick up location and direct the cab you need to your position Edited January 14, 2020 by lucymorgan
