You have the two options you can get off at St james and walk to your hotel from there or change trains at Central or Town Hall and go to Martin Place and walk from there.

You could look on the map and see that St James station is sort of close (200m) to your hotel.

St James is close enough in my opinion if you take the exit that brings you out at the Court, TRAVELODGE is opposite the Supreme Court.

There will be Maxi Taxi's that are a van with seating for up to 13 passengers.

I've taken a Toyota hybrid taxi of some sort from Central Station to White Bay with three friends plus luggage. It was amazing it all went in although we had our back packs on our laps.

Thank you By the Bay, MicCanberra and lyndarra.  Appreciate your replies.  I'm also checking with private shuttles.  One has a price of $56.00 for 4 passengers.  It sounds cheaper than using a taxi.

Some of our N American visitors may not be aware that it is perfectly acceptable, and common, for taxi passengers to sit alongside the driver. One person hiring a taxi will almost always sit alongside the driver. Factor this in when considering a taxi if there are four of you.

As long as they have the space for your luggage.  Some taxis are station wagons, not just sedans.

We have found some sedan-style taxis have an LPG cylinder in the boot, greatly reducing the space for luggage.

Yes - and the dispatcher at the airport will get you the best cab for your party.  When you get to the head of the queue just ask and they will place you on the pick up location and direct the cab you need to your position
