Carrying on Pepsi

We have carried on Pepsi before, however it was always in the carton. We have a bag that we want to put it in without the case, as it will hook on our carry on. My question is has anyone ever carried on loose cans? We have had them open, our cases in the past and Then try to tape them up, so I am hoping this will be alright. We will also have Cheers but we like Pepsi!

I did. I put 8 fresca's loose in my backpack and went through all security without even showing it to them. You'll be fine.

No problem in your carry on. We usually have less than a box since we drink some of it in the day before when we get to Florida. Sometimes it’s a few sodas, and a few juice.

Yes, you can carry on loose sodas in a can.  I did it last month on the Vista.  Just put them in my carry on bag.  They did inspect them.

They actually opened up your soft drink cartons?  What were they looking for?

We have seen security destroy soda boxes leaving the passengers to drop and roll cans up and down the gangway.

You can bring 12 cans per person. Does not have to be in the carton, it can be loose. If it is in carton security may open the box just to make sure it is soda cans and not beer or something else.

It maybe some of the security in Mobile  enjoyed see cans roll around but on our last cruise  out of New Orleans security had duck tape to repair the boxes.

It seemed like it on our cruise out of Miami a few years back. I saw many people with 12 packs ripped open from the middle instaed of unsealed on the end. There is just no logical reason for them to do it that way other than to be a jerk.

They cut into my case of soda in Tampa to look for alcohol.

Shouldn't be a problem now if you're cruising after January 2020 and doing Cheers anyway. They just announced today they are switching to Pepsi!
