Rotterdam overstayed its Half Moon Cay day

Anyone heard if Rotterdam is having problems? My Marine tracker puts it still on Half Moon Cay although it should have left hours ago!

What I see on marinetraffic.com is that she last reported about 4h:35m ago (about 16:00 local) off Cat Island and still heading to HMC. That doesn't say where she is now, just that there isn't a later report.

Sorry, but Marine traffic is not a radar, it displays positions based on automatic AIS equipment position reports and sent by relay stations that provide the position information to the APP. AIS information is used by satellite to constantly indicate position of vessels worldwide and the APP makes use of the information available, but is by no means a constant source of position information, sometimes there is a delay of hours or days even, if none of the AIS relay stations is in reach.

cruisemapper.com shows her off the coast of Acklins Island, well south of Half Moon Cay and due east of Turks and Caicos.

No, it just means nobody on board is monitoring Cruise Critic and reporting every thing that may, or may not have happened.

Rotterdam left HMC 17hours ago and is on its way to Aruba. To track a ship just type

eg MS Rotterdam current postion. Hope this helps. Jim.

I wonder if the problem is with the AIS equipment around HMC.  Koningsdam is supposed to be there today and is not showing up.
