mafig Posted December 7, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 7, 2019 Is Deck 6 too low and too far from CK and Suite Lounge? Is Deck 14 noisy?
Clarea Posted December 7, 2019 #2 Share Posted December 7, 2019 Deck 14 can be noisy.
Rare island lady Posted December 7, 2019 #3 Share Posted December 7, 2019 (edited) Given that choice, though I also prefer a higher deck than six...I would still take six. Noise overhead from pool deck, being on deck 14, would drive me nuts. Best decks...IMHO...11 and 12. Boarding sister ship Harmony tomorrow with GS cabin on 12. mafig Posted December 7, 2019 Author #4 Share Posted December 7, 2019 What about Deck 7. My old notes say to avoid that deck, but I don't recall why.

Deck 7 is fine unless you are using the aft elevators. You can’t cross from one side of the ship to the other due to the two story entrance to the Boardwalk. Rare mac_tlc Posted December 7, 2019 #6 Share Posted December 7, 2019 I don’t like the low decks, to me it matters where the lifeboats are. If you are not directly over them, I’d take deck 6, if you are. I would go with deck 14. mac_tlc
Milwaukee Eight Posted December 7, 2019 #7 Share Posted December 7, 2019 We like GS on Deck 8.
FloatMe Posted December 7, 2019 #8 Share Posted December 7, 2019 I posed this same question in another board. I prefer deck 6, because I love being close to the water while under way. Lifeboats are not an issue on Oasis. My concern was being to close to boardwalk, promenade, traffic. When I posed this question on the other site, everyone with experience recommended deck 6. That said I went with a Loft suite on deck 17 😁

Avoid Deck 7 at all costs, but 14 is worse😉 You have to remember which side your on.
